Reddit mentions of MÜHLE TRADITIONAL Chrome Safety Razor (Open Comb)

Three things to mention:

• The name of the game with safety razors is progressive beard reduction, not one-pass beard removal: lather up and take one pass with the grain of whisker growth, rinse and relather, take another pass across the grain, rinse and relather again, then take a final pass against the grain;
  
• Extremely dense/coarse beards may demand an open-comb razor head or even a slant bar;
  
• Blades are the most YMMV aspect of DE shaving, as some blades just work better or worse with some razor heads and faces than others; this is one of the best sampler packs I've seen, your choice of 1 or 2 blades each, of 22 different brands including most well-regarded brands, some lesser-known but underrated ones, and a few oddballs.

If you don't it may be easier to get baby butt smooth. If you're not using a double edge / safety razor you could give it a shot. It's much better than gillette / whatever else that has like 5 razors.

For a setup I'd recommend Proraso Shaving Cream, A maggard synthetic brush, Persona Medical razors and a Muhle R41 handle. Then just use olive oil for a shaving oil.

It's a significantly better shave and after the initial purchase much cheaper than even buying from Dorco (the people who make the razors for dollar shave club.) The 100 razors should last you atleast 400 shaves but you could probably easily get 800.

I can get to BBS but not on my neck. Everything above the chin though? Perfect smoothness.

  I've owned or do own most of these and they are all good razors. I won't say they are better than the Parker 24C, but each brings something a little different to the table.

I would get something nice for Johnzsmith.
