I like the Nathan Speed 2 hydration belt, which is often recommended by others here. It has two 10 ounce bottles and a reasonably roomy pocket. It's very stable and comfortable.
Unfortunately the bottle carriers are not detachable. I've ordered an SPIbelt since I often need a pocket but don't want to carry bottles.

That's what I use, no complaints - as long as you get a model that fits snugly on you. It has a nice pouch that holds 3-4 gels.
