It is probably your membranes on the yellow pieces on the pump. I have had trouble emptying my breasts and once I change the membranes I can empty efficiently again. These are the parts Medela membranes . They are cheaper on amazon. Alternately I these as well duckbill valves . I have a pump in style also
Same, I've been very happy with the PISA and duckbill valves. I hated the stupid medela membranes, I kept losing them in the sink. I first learned about duckbills here, thanks to whoever posted about them in late September! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BYNFVDS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_vx-.zbQP3H3A5
My twins were in the NICU, and I have a Spectra S1 pump, and use Freemie collection cups.
To be very honest I rented a hospital grade medela pump from Babies R' Us for $75 for the first month to help get my supply up. I used the Spectra at work, and driving to the NICU until the babies were home.
One thing to remember is that if your supply drops check your membranes or consider switching to duckbill style. My only complaint is why does something for 2 boobs come in a 5 pack?
Also I have a hand pump that I will use if I feel the electric pump didn't get enough milk out.
