What's the temperature going to be like? If cool enough, you may be able to bring a variety of foods.

Lunch/dinner: I make it a habit to bring the dry sausages that keep forever, pepperoni, along with dryer cheeses and some type bread (I like bagels, but I think tortillas may last longer). I like to do a lot of soups and chillies. I like crackers too, but you gotta protect them or be cool with getting all crushed. Still fine imho, as long as it's not dust haha. Top ramen with some dried veggies can be good. Peanut butter sandwiches, you can put it in the crackers for a snack, mmm.

Breakfast: I keep it pretty simple because I'm usually into a quick, no fire start to my mornings. Pop tarts or bagels are fine by me. If I know I'm doing a hot breakfast I'll do those flavored oatmeals, maybe add some raisins and nuts to beef it up.

Items: I think we all have our little things we enjoy. Most would agree, a flask of some good alcohol is always a must. Personally, I enjoy a light backpacking chair to kick it in and relax. Adds a pound, but I love relaxing and reading or playing games. I have a few but I usually being the Alite butterfly chair. Also love this little constellation book for star gazing. I've seen a lot but Night Sky - A Field Guide to the Constellations is my favorite. It's a great size, it's a thicker material, it's made to be used, has great info for finding stars (including starting with easier to find constellations then going to harder ones), info on mythology etc etc. I could go on and on. Also a good knife to play with is always nice. A Mora is awesome AND cheap.
