I wouldn't go for a Used console... Nowdays even a 2DS can be sold with a significant discount though a sale or something. You just have to know where to look.

With that, accessory wise maybe a case to protect the console. The 2DS has some nice ones and the official one isn't too expensive.

Game wise, there are lots of Pokemon games and even some really cheap ones in the eShop (like Pokemon Yellow at 9.99€)

From there, it depends on your gaming preferences.

I do recommend using a Case that protects the screens. I've found out the hard way when I scratched my top screen when I put in my bag without a case.

Some 2DS/3DS cases do offer areas to place the 3DS/DS games. such as this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/qvf/Pokemon-Pikachu-Universal-Folio-Nintendo-2DS-3DS/B00NQT48MI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1478814472&sr=8-3&keywords=2ds+case

What do I use? I would've use the first, that is assuming I didn't get a 3rd party Wii U gamepad Padded travel case, which was bundled with my Wii U which I got months before. The 2DS is be secondary 3DS and mainly used for Pokémon trades, and Street passing.
