Eh not sure what's going on here as there seems to be a lot of conflicting information. You've probably figured all this out now given your post was 3 days back, but it could be useful for somebody else who stumbles upon this post:
I found this on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003ZDNXZI?cache=d1cdfe81669d1db2ed8b62758716668c&pi=SX200_QL40&qid=1412925427&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1
i found a way to use the front i/o it requires some cut&splice ordering long front panel extensions to do this amazon link nzxt product
and here is how to do it with PICTURES! diagram
FOUND WHAT I NEED aaaaaaaaand its sold out. cool.
I had this problem once with an OEM case and a new motherboard. I had another old case that I didn't want to use that had the individual front panel connectors. I figured out the pinouts of all the wires, removed the one large connector, removed the individual connectors from the other case, and manually wired up all of the individual connectors to the existing case wiring. It was a chore, though. Something like this could help: http://www.amazon.com/CB-FRPAN-Individually-Sleeved-Speaker-Premium/dp/B003ZDNXZI. You could either try using the male ends of those extensions to plug into the existing connector, or remove the existing connector entirely and re-wire it.
EDIT: If you really just need the system to power on, you can wire up a momentary, normally-open (N.O.) pushbutton between the "PWR SWITCH" pins on the motherboard. Very carefully and temporarily shorting the power switch pins with a screwdriver will also accomplish the same.
