I also have chronically dry and chapped lips, and so few products actually do anything to help them. In my experience, stay away from anything with salicylic acid (such as carmex, it's an ingredient that's in acne-fighting skincare, which has no business being in a product for chapped lips) or mint, which is an irritant on top of already irritated skin. This stuff is like no other lip balm I've ever tried before. It's almost like a light lotion texture, and it really does sink into your lips. This is one of the only lip balms I can remember fully finishing a tube of and repurchasing
  
• Laneige lip sleeping mask (not the glowy balm in the squeeze tube, that's an entirely different product). This lip mask is a cult favorite product for a reason. I use this during the day too, not just at night. It's overpriced on Sephora, but you can get it on AB sites like Jolse a lot cheaper. And the jar is really big, so it lasts a long time. Also a super unique product, I can't think of anything that's even close to being a dupe of this, it's kind of magical
