Amazon has a 480Gb Crucial for $179 which is a pretty good deal.
edit: Newegg has the same crucial for 179 too and it also includes a 2000Mah battery Free stuff is free

I would recommend the Crucial M500. 240GB for under $200. And it's a great new drive.
Although an SSD would definitely be an improvement over a traditional HD, the Serial ATA on your specific computer is only SATA I (1.5 Gb/s). Thus if you add an SSD, you should see a performance increase, you wouldn't be able to use it to its fullest potential.
That being said you can never go wrong with crucial

But I'd just like to restate you are not going to be able to get this SSD to reach its full potential

1600x900 is a great resolution for a 14" display.
The U430 is only compatible with a few SSD's. The Crucial M500 is compatible and you can order it and have Geek Squad install it for you if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
Keep in mind the i7 version U430 is available on Amazon
This laptop, this RAM, and this hard drive. It's what we run standard as our work machines. They are fast, dependable and straight forward. You could save some money by going with an 8GB RAM install, or splurge and get a 960GB SSD hard drive.
Glad to help! That SSD isn't a very good choice for the price you're paying, I would recommend the Samsung 840 Evo instead for $50 less. It has great software and is a very popular SSD. The Crucial M500 is a good choice as well if you really want to save some cash.
I would stay with 6GB but upgrade the HDD to an SSD:
afaik the acer has a msata port, so you could just but this in (but check first, i´m not sure)link
otherwise replace the hdd with a normal ssd link
or if you need 1TB but don´t want to pay so much, get at least an sshd link
They are currently around $.50/GB. 480 GB for $250. I bought mine for $270 last year during Black Friday. (They were like $310 normally) Considering how blazing fast and the fact that they're silent, it's totally worth it for me to put all the games I have, except for the ones I never play, onto an SSD.
[it was 219 a few days ago)(http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-2-5-Inch-adapter-Internal-CT480M500SSD1/dp/B00BQ8RHJ2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395185783&sr=8-1&keywords=m500).
The case is outdated. Cases like h440 come with better features are are cheaper. You could also get a 750D for the same price.
He has a very expensive motherboard picked. The whole point of that motherboard is to overclock. The 212 will not give you the results that a better cooler like a h220 will have.
