This is total self-coddling bullshit, and the supplement stuff here is some legit new agey woo woo nonsense.

I live in a ritzy area, and there are quality gyms for just $30/month. There are even some shittier ones around for just $10/month. Fitness products are often made affordable and targeted at poor people. It sounds like you're already planning to spend money anyway. Spend it on a real fucking gym and get yourself into a squat rack.

Forget about supplements. Eat beans, chicken, rice, and some cheap steamed vegetables. You need protein, not supplements. If you want to supplement then get a huge bag of protein powder. It can be a little pricey, but it'll last you forever. That particular bag from optimum has a shit ton of extra vitamins and minerals added, so maybe that'll satisfy your psychological need to supplement.

Always remember that if you're not doing barbell squats you're not really working out. No excuses. My fucking mom does those and she's almost 60. Don't be a pussy. Start with just the bar and add +2.5lb to each side every workout. If you don't want to rush it due to age or insufficient protein intake get a pair of 1.25lb change plates from rogue so you can go at half the pace. Be sure to get your shins right, and your heels right, or you'll hurt your knees. At your age you probably won't be lifting ultra heavy any time soon, so there's not much risk anyway.

I don't take it every day. I bought a 12 pound bag for $60 give or take here. I only take it on days where I can't be bothered eating as much. Liquid calories go down easier. I've used up about half the bag and I've had it since around June. It's not too bad.

For sure man! Also, I know you said cheap and at first glance weight gainers might seem super expensive, but if you price it out they're actually a really good deal. I bought a 12 lb bag of Serious Mass for $45, and i used half servings which comes out to 32 servings for the whole bag, with each serving being 625 cals and 25g of protein. each serving prices out to $1.40 so it actually is a good deal if you think about it. I put mine in shakes with strawberries, bananas, peanut butter, and whole milk, and it came out to like 1.5k cals and mad protein per shake. $2.20 or so (taking in consideration the price of frozen strawberries/bananas/PB/milk) is really good for the macros it has. It also tastes insanely good. I have one every morning and it makes it super easy to meet my macros for that day. AIGHT. I got this guys.

Nigga This shit right here.

fucking weight gainer.

Also carbs don't gain muscle, they're fuel for when you are working out.

Protein is what builds muscle.

What's your workout routine?

I'd suggest doing things like pushups, pullups, sit-ups. Afterwards eat a balanced but carb-heavy meal.

This could also help as a supplement http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrition-Serious-Vanilla-Pound/dp/B000GIPJ02/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410686369&sr=8-1&keywords=on+mass
