Wow the other answers here are annoying. Here's a RELEVANT answer since it's a SUPPLEMENT: Ashwagandha. https://www.amazon.com/ORGANIC-INDIA-Ashwagandha-Supplement-Capsules/dp/B003PGE98K

Been taking on a regular basis for 4 years to help severe chronic health issues which include(d) some of the worst possible anxiety. I also used to have thyroid imbalance and terrible adrenal fatigue which disappeared with this supplement. I used to take 4 caps a day for years, but now I take about 2 a day and not every day. Happy to answer more if needed. Lots of info online. Generally, things that take a little longer to "kick in" are going to have more steady effects, so that you will still have benefit when no longer on the supplement, or if only taking sporadically. Ashwagandha often has mild immediate effects, but it's over a period of a few to several weeks that effects become really obvious and positive. Check out the reviews and search for "anxiety." Best wishes.

I'm quite uptight so sedating effect might not be so bad for me haha. Ashwagandha is quite cheap aswell. Do you find it actually helps you lower stress levels?

This was the best value for money I could find. I'm in the UK. Might give it a shot.

No, you're doing the right thing by asking.

I just take one every single day. Been doing it for months now.

I take this one. https://www.amazon.com/ORGANIC-INDIA-Ashwagandha-Supplement-Capsules/dp/B003PGE98K?th=1

It's an adoptogen so it takes about a week before you actually notice it working. I don't cycle because i love being on it too much. Havent really noticed much of a tolerance. Just gotten used to it!

I had a huge hair loss problem and it brought me a lot of anxiety and stress because as a 23-24 year old female who used to have really thick, healthy hair it was disheartening. My hair is thankfully back to normal but it took a while to get it back to peak health. I actually got a haircut this weekend and the hairstylist commented on how healthy and full my hair is. When I told her that I worried about my hair thinning out and hair loss she said that what the last thing I should worry about. But little did she know what had been happening the last two years (I had never gone to that salon before). I also want to add that I’ve been dealing with a flakey scalp for a while now. I would make it worse by picking at it and sometimes causing scabs. The flakey scalp caused problems for my hair because you can’t have good hair without a healthy scalp. In fact, many time hair loss is due to dandruff since it weakens the hair follicles. I recently found a few products that have made a big difference. Your hair sounds a bit like mine in that I can’t use dry shampoo, it makes my scalp a mess. I also wash my hair daily in part because I run in the mornings but on the days that I don’t run and I don’t wash my hair, my hair gets oily and gross and my scalp gets worse.

This is what worked for me:

  1. I brush my hair with a bamboo wide comb (I think it’s this one , I got it from Whole Foods) before I shower and don’t brush or run my fingers through my hair at all in the shower. I believe wet hair is weaker so it’s best to not comb/brush in the shower.

  2. I take biotin pills everyday. I’m sure any brand works so just look at reviews.

  3. I take Ashwagandha . I linked the one I take. I’ve been taking it for over a year now, two pills twice a day as directed. I think this and biotin made a huge difference in my hair health.

  4. I wash my hair almost daily. I just alternate between using reg shampoo/conditioner and an apple cider vinegar rinse (I use the one by dpHUE ). The ACV has made a huge difference in my scalp. I can’t say enough good things about it. I also have the scrub, which is why linked the bundle that has the two of them for cheaper, which I liked but it was a bit messy to use. The rinse is amazing though and I also use the leave in conditioner from the same line. It’s a spray leave in conditioner which I like because I don’t like touching my hair too much when it’s wet and weak.

  5. I use a cotton towel to dry my hair and I love it. This is the one I have , I have two just in case one is in the wash. I like it a lot. I put my hair in it as soon as I get out of the shower and set a 10-15 minute timer, then I take it off and spray leave in conditioner. Not touching your hair too much is best because then you aren’t tugging at your scalp or accidental pulling your hair off.

  6. There is such a thing as doing too much. I would recommend maybe sticking to basics and using a minimalistic hair routine with gentle ingredients. I’m actually looking to replace my VERB shampoo & conditioner for something better and silicone free. I haven’t decided what yet though.

  7. I’m not too sure how well they work because I haven’t used them myself but I recently saw two different hair density serums that are very well reviewed. One is by a brand called Grow Gorgeous and the other is by The Ordinary. Maybe try one of these and see how they help? Definitely don’t do both and don’t overpower your scalp with a lot of products, a healthy scalp leads to healthy hair. I’m planning on getting the one from The Ordinary this weekend. A lot of the reviews on Sephora said that it made a huge difference with their scalp health and that it got rid of their dandruff so read the reviews and see if this is something you think would help you too.

  8. I just bought a shower water filter for hard water, gets here Saturday! I can’t believe I didn’t know about this sooner. We have super hard water and I’m pretty sure it’s what’s been causing havoc on my scalp. If you look up “hard water and scalp problems” or “hard water and hair loss” a lot of information comes up.

  9. I get my hair trimmed every other month.

    Hope this helps!

My wife takes migraine stuff and didn't have issues. I haven't heard much of anyone else having bad reactions, but I'm sure asking your doctor or searching if someone had reactions with your specific meds

Here's a link to my preferred brand. The store I bought from had other choices, but this was the best for the money https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003PGE98K?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Try Ashwagandha from Organic India
http://www.amazon.com/Organic-India-Ashwagandha-Veg-Capsules-Count/dp/B003PGE98K/

Not sure about other brands, but this one worked for me.

Ever since I have started taking Ashwagandha (1 pill in morning and night), my sleep has improved a lot. I had a bad insomnia experience in the past. But now, no more grogginess in the morning, no anxiety, feels calm and relaxed.

You can also try adding one or two teaspoon turmeric powder to one cup warm milk and drink it before sleep. You can also add some sugar for taste.

I dont really know why doctors won't send you to get herbal medications when some of them are just as effective with less side effects.

Like, anything you can take has complications and potential interactions.. I guess an issue with herbals is the various extracts. But then again thats also a problem with generics.

Ashwagandha is probably the best thing for you.

https://examine.com/supplements/ashwagandha/

KSM-66 or sensoril are the standard extracts, most widely known to be effective. Potential side effects are minor and rare. The studies are done with the extracts, so if you don't get ksm66 or sensoril there isn't any hard evidence to back it up. However, even the whole root products like this one have just ridiculous 'changed my life' type reviews. Yeah there are always a 5% 1 star, but honestly this record is as good or better than what the doctor would give you anyway so shrug. For reasons they're working every day to figure out, everyone responds differently. But generally people respond well :)

Also, st johns root. I havent taken it so I wont recommend it but several studies have been done that show it to be as effective as standard ssri's with less side effects. The effects being, some people get light sensitivity and you can't take it with other drugs as it has potential serious interactions.

I have decided to buy them seperately.

This is what i'm thinking of buying:

Bacopa 250 mg caps from mindnutrition
-
https://store.mindnutrition.com/nootropics/24-bacopa#/quantity-60_veggie_caps_250mg

Rhodiola Rosea 500mg caps from mindnutrition
-
https://store.mindnutrition.com/nootropics/35-rhodiola-rosea

KSM-66 1000mg from Tranquility Labs
-
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EVNQM76/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3A3ZBO9L0YTT4

I'm not sure about the ashwagandha, I suspect it may be too strong..

Maybe this is better? There just isnt any information about the % of withanolides.

Mind nutrition is also selling ashawagandha, which honestly seems pretty good.

I was considering this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003PGE98K/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ADF078QXYHKUY
Would it be too much to take Phosphatidylserine, Rhodiola and Ashwaganda together or would a combination of two of them be better? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
