Until we in the US get on the metric train, you could order a set of US measuring cups on Amazon or something. They are usually cheap. I purchased a kitchen scale so that I can make recipes from the rest of the damn world.

I have the Pampered Chef version of these measuring cups I love using these since I can see what I am measuring much better.
My mama got us a Soda Stream and it has saved gobs of money on energy drinks and pop. I think that the majority of the sodas taste better than their more expensive counterparts and they contain way less sugar!
While I do not have one of these; I am thoroughly convinced that I NEED one. =)

I'm not sure if mine are Oxo brand, but I would highly recommend angled measuring cups, they are so much more convenient to use.
So the Emsa Perfect Beaker doesn't count? Because I love mine.

For other things, especially really viscous stuff like peanut butter or honey though, you can't beat the [adjustable measuring cups] (http://www.amazon.com/Wonder-Cup-Two-Adjustable-Measuring/dp/B000I21N7O/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1404230554&sr=1-3&keywords=measuring+cup+plunger). Except for the fact that none of them seem to have a good solution for not having the measurements wipe off other than be really freaking careful what you use it with.
if you are doing gift cards, i need to add to my savings for a bike trailer. i finally got my hands on a bike, but without something to put the kids in, i'm still stuck. if you're doing items only, These measuring cups from my kitchen WL would be used daily.
oh and where's the aspirin , seriously? man i've got a headache.
Measuring cups, wet and dry, and measuring spoons. I have these wet cups, and they're great. Also might want to pick up a garlic press. I have one sort of like this, and it's the best one I've used. Very sturdy, easy to clean, presses more garlic than any other I've ever used.
