I have dual sticks, not have a HOTAS, but I think my setup is still relevant.

I've been toying with the idea of making fold-away holders for my sticks that attach to my chair but it's probably a pipe-dream. I use my computer and desk mainly for work... so any solution has to be removable or tucked away for non-playtime. But until then... this is how I do it:

A year or so ago, someone on this sub suggested Scotch Restickable Dots. I attach 3-4 to the base of each stick and plant them firmly on the mouse pad. I also have many under the mouse pad to keep it secured to the desk top.

Works well for me. I simply pick up the sticks and put them off to the side when I'm done. I remove the Dots from the bases and put them on top of the bases to keep them from sticking to the desk elsewhere. I also cover my sticks when not in use (I have cats)... so the Dots remain fairly clean.

Oh, and the Dots are washable... so you can "refresh" them if they loose their stickiness.

I've got the Perixx DX-2000XXL. It's big enough for my mouse and keyboard to comfortably fit, and to provide a bit of cushion for my wrists. Super grippy bottom and nicely stitched edges.

It's been easy to clean (doesn't really pick up much dust/dirt) and was pretty cheap compared to some of the other offerings.

Depends what size you want. I'd just look on Amazon and check out the ones with the most reviews and just go from there. I'm personally using this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GB0IFXM?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_1&smid=A313151JUUD897

$20 for a big mousepad. You can't go wrong really. Far better value than anything razer sells which is all overpriced.

I have this one and have no complaints. It's roughed up a little but I've also had it for like 2 years.

u/aerfen · 2 pointsr/battlestations

I think it's something like this although it doesn't have the text in the upper right. It's those dimensions though, 900mm by 300mm.

That looks like a low priced knock-off of this Perixx DX-2000 XXL Mouse Pad. Same size, thickness, and even the seems around the edge are stitched similarly.

I would argue that the extended size Perixx is one of the best looking pads around. Certainly better than that god awful Razer pad.

As for the quality, I have the "Large" version, which is quite a nice pad. Feels good, there isnt any extra resistance when moving the mouse, nor is there too little resistance. It's got the same clean look. The only real downside I have with it, is that it rather minimally slides around on my desk as I have it positioned. Although a simple readjustment and that problem is remedied. The huge extended size one I doubt would have that issue, seeing as it is massive and should get stuck in place.

Get whatever size fits you best. Absolutely loving this mousepad and it's so cheap. Stitched edges too so no fraying/peeling.

Perixx (... can't remember how to spell their name for the life of me) makes some nice ones. I have (among others) a DX-1000XXL; it's about 35" by 17". I've had this particular one for quite a while and the edges haven't frayed at all. It does discolor after a while (skin cells, dirt, etc.), but all I did was throw it in the sink and washed it up with a little soap and a lot of water, and it looks (and seems to work) as good as new.

The photo doesn't show it well, but the entire edge is heaviliy stitched over (think embroidered letters kind of stitching). I don't think it's gonna fray anytime soon.

Here on Amazon. I like it because the edges are stitched. It is really well made and has held up really well.

I don't have experience with that exact one, but I have this one, which I paid $20 for in February, and I love it. Don't know why the price has gone up so much though.

There is the mousemat http://www.amazon.com/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM

As for the monitor arm it's no longer made or sold, but it is from a company called Brateck. You may be able to find something similar on Amazon.

u/iD3ntitY · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

Someone already asked that question :)
But anyway it's a Perixx DX-2000 XXL
You can find it on amazon

u/nuplsstahp · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Sorry I just realised I misread your comment, the mousepad is a Perixx extended mousepad called the DC-2000XXL. You can get it for cheap on Amazon

I bought this mouse mat a few months back. Wished I did it sooner. Highly recommend this one and use it alot for gaming. Had a Golthahus and sometimes ill even throw it on top cause its a smaller mouse pad.

u/narcoblix · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

There's this very very large mousepad; it's $25 on Amazon with Prime: http://www.amazon.com/Perixx-DX-2000XXL-Gaming-Control-Mouse/dp/B00GB0IFXM/

I have it and I like it a lot

u/Basdaga · 1 pointr/battlestations

They sure are cushty bro, here you go (It's actually 300 tall not 400). Or just have a search for "extra large mouse mat"

This one is the one I have... its availible in various sizes, plenty thick for daily gaming and minor cushion. It's pretty hardy and easy to clean in case you spill...

Overall dope pad for the price. Going 3-4 years strong still.

3mm is plenty. However if that's a deal breaker I get it, just an awesome price and product if you are not needing that extra 2mm of thickness which IMHO is too much. If you seek more cushion than 3mm an auxiliary wrist rest would better suit you and facilitate that overall comfort/ergonomics without having a extra heavy thick mousepad on the whole surface instead of just where its needed.

u/Roquemore92 · 1 pointr/battlestations

If the problem is the depth, check out the 2000XXL, its the same width, just about half as deep.

Edit: forgot an 'x' and link

u/DThr33 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I had one, the top layer started peeling off at the bottom of the pad where my wrist was. Now I have one of these and I love it.
