Not silly. Here's a short list, maybe you can find some brands in USA, but for sure not all of them: let me make an example.

Barilla is a well known brand of pasta, but there are a lot of better competitors that don't export in the USA.

Another example, stuff that is cheap in Italy, but OVERPRICED on the other side of the world: this costs around $25 on Amazon, but in Italy I can easily get it for 5$ even in the worst supermarket.

We have thousands of different kind of pastas & pasta condiments (pesto, etc...)

Dried bread
Pane Carasau http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pane_carasau

Plus tipical biscuits, canned sicilian tuna, candies I see you have overpriced ROSSANA in the USA for example.

Etc, etc, etc...

It's not the product per se (thanks globalization), but Nutella is shit compared to Venchi's chocolate cream made with olive oil. :-)

That's what I would like to do: send people REAL italian delicacies, most of them unknown, due to global brands :-)

The real italian candy are the one and only "Rossana" made by Perugina. My grandma used to eat those everyday.
