I'd recommend literally anything by Philip K. Dick, but if I must choose, then "The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch" and "Ubik" are favourites of mine. Library of America has released two excellent collections of his work:

Philip K. Dick: Four Novels of the 1960s

Philip K. Dick: Five Novels of the 1960s and 70s

But since many will probably mention Dick already, I'd like to recommend a couple of, perhaps, slightly more obscure sci-fi writers:

A. E. van Vogt (I like the Null-A series)

Clifford D. Simak (I was especially fond of "Ring Around the Sun" and "They Walked Like Men")

Fred Saberhagen (The Berserker series)

I'm reading Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said by Philip K. Dick as part of an omnibus that I bought for my vacation.

I really like his plots, you're never sure what is real or not and the themes of his work are very interesting. It is slow going though, I really have to pay attention and sometimes put away the book to ponder upon the story.

Sometime his endings sort of fade out without a real conclusion, but that's okay too, the plots and ideas are entertaining enough.
