I'm guessing not, since your gaming headset likely just needs to pull the audio from one place - the PC. As such, the microphone cord is likely not suited to pull audio as well.

Conversely, the Switch headset will need to pull audio from the Switch as well as both pulling audio from the phone and inputting audio to the phone (aka the mic).

But who knows? Check your microphone cable. If it were to work, it would likely look something like the jack you'd find on your average headset that comes with phones nowadays. That is, a 3.5mm head with 4 prongs/3 rings.
