Thank you. Yeah I would of course not expect anything to be free. I'm familiar with ghostwriting, but the reason I asked this question is because I recently came across what Tom DeLonge, a famous punk rock musician, did with the book Poet Anderson. It has both his name and the name of the author on it. In an interview I was listening to recently, he came up with an outline for the story, and then found the author through her agent, who agreed to write the story.

The reason this kind of an approach appeals to me is that, I never thought of writing fiction in the past, which is why I've never taken a class or practiced writing in that style. I don't know the first thing about dialogue, exposition, etc. But, I did read a few books about outlining and have written this complete outline which includes settings, every character motivation under the sun, subplots, etc. It's all ready to be written. But I just don't feel like the right person to bring this story into existence.

So I don't want to ghostwrite and pretend like I'm the one who wrote the story. I feel like that is totally not honest. But the approach Tom DeLonge took is great insofar as both and he and the author are credited; him with the ideas and her with the writing. It's like the screenwriter/director relationship of cinema.
