I had pretty bad Dallis grass. It's been a couple of seasons but I've just about got it wiped out.
First, get one of these:

It saved my butt. Way faster than pulling or digging out any other way. I still spent hours. Yes, you'll have holes in your yard. Overseed as appropriate when weather conditions favor germination and it will fill in.
This tool lasted me a season and a half and removal of many hundreds of dallis grass plants before it broke. It was worth it.
Now it's all gone (for now) but seeds will be in the soil and it will reappear, although much less. Use the above tool to pull or do what I did and get yourself this roundup stick-deodorant style applicator:

The dallis grass grows much faster than the regular grass. Once it's sticking up a couple of inches I grab this thing and a paper towel folded over a few times. Then I hold the paper towel against one side of the dallis grass while hitting the other side with the applicator. Start at the bottom and swipe up. You inevitably get roundup on the paper towel so you end up with it on both sides of the dallis grass which is ideal. A couple of weeks later it will be dead and gone. Then you repeat this process... Forever. :)
