i'll save you some time.

the top 1080p 144hz 1ms TN Panel they recommend over there on every post that asks, #1 is the Viewsonic XG2401

& #2 is the LG 24GM77-B

they say these two have the best color accuracy for a tn.

i recommend the Samsung CFG70

it has better color accuracy than both of those monitors above (because it's a VA panel and not a TN) and colors look as good as on my other IPS display IMO. (IPS panels have the best color accuracy)
and it has great viewing angles unlike a TN panel.
also it's $70 off rn. i really wouldn't pass this offer up as you're getting better color accuracy and better viewing angles for only $20 more than the Viewsonic.

good luck (:

u/YamiKishi · 6 pointsr/IndianGaming

You didn't mention a resolution or budget. I'm going to assume you're looking for a 1080p screen.

This here is a really good monitor: https://www.amazon.in/LG-24GM79G-B-Reduction-FreeSyncTM-Stabilizer/dp/B06XFGTGC4
It is a TN though, so color accuracy and viewing angles aren't great. But it is still a great panel.

Here's another TN panel: https://www.primeabgb.com/online-price-reviews-india/viewsonic-24-xg2402-gaming-tn-monitor/
Supposedly better color accuracy for a lower contrast ratio.

A VA panel: https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-23-5-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01M1DEEYP
This has better color accuracy, but CFG70 is believed to have a purple ghosting issue, which is supposedly fixed in CFG73. Although, I haven't seen this model in any of the Indian e-commerce sites.
Also, this has a small curve so might not be something you want.

This could also be another option, the design might be better: https://www.vedantcomputers.com/lenovo-legion-y25f-10-24.5-inch-fhd-5ms-response-time
A few people have reported frame skipping issue with this model. So might want to look into that.

u/Russ916 · 6 pointsr/buildapcsales

It's $279.99 on Amazon currently.

I say this is a very good deal price wise, although I am not too sure how good it would be for gaming because I've heard ghosting is quite common with VA Panels.

u/dapotatopapi · 6 pointsr/IndianGaming

You could check out Samsung c24fg70.

1080p, 144hz and it's VA, which is better than TN for colors and angles. Seems to be around the 23k mark too. Haven't personally used it but looks good to me. Keep in mind though, it's curved. Could be a pro or a con depending on preference.

Edit: This

I believe the Samsung CFG70 should suit your requirements. It retails for around 300 i think, but I saw refurbished models here for around $230

u/Naughty_Taco · 4 pointsr/buildapcsales

Just picked up a Samsung CFG70 for ~$180 after tax with this deal.

If I find a better offer on a g-sync next week I'll trade in but otherwise very pleased!

u/Deviuz · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

you mean this one?

u/Darkside2417 · 3 pointsr/Monitors

I really like the Samsung CFG70 24 in

u/llliterateChild · 3 pointsr/Monitors

Sorry but I'm not seeing much for thin bezel 144hz monitors. The only one I'm seeing is the Acer XG270HU- $349 at Newegg.

The Samsung CFG70 might look cool with its curved screen, but the bezel doesn't look particularly thin and it is at the top of your price range.

u/WSeabiscuit · 3 pointsr/buildapc

I've had my eye on this Samsung 1080p 144Hz monitor: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/?tag=pcpapi-20

Recommended by pcmonitors.info -- (full review): https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/samsung-c24fg70/

Freesync range is 70-144Hz and with support for AMD LFC for FPS below 70Hz.

u/nosedive6 · 3 pointsr/Monitors

Don't buy it. The VG248q is a really old monitor with subpar colours and uses PWM dimming which causes eye strain and headaches for some people. There's much better alternatives such as this https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493406160&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+cfg70+series+24-inch+1ms+curved+gaming+monitor+c24fg70. It's the best 1080p 144hz monitor out there.

u/Trombolorokkit · 3 pointsr/buildapc

I have a Samsung (C24FG70) ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qgdzCb3CF4K2G

It apparently had this issue where it had purple lines but I don't have it. There's a newer version to. It doesn't really have ghosting issues from what I can see.

u/MrTechSavvy · 3 pointsr/buildapc

I personally use this - Samsung CFG70 Series 24-Inch 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor (C24FG70) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_76bFAbX7SX725

It’s pretty damn nice for the price. It’s got Samsung’s quantum dot technology, Freesync for AMD GPU’s (I have a 580), 144hz, 1ms rt, it’s curved, etc.

There are cheaper options ($180-$220) that will work fine, but it’s up to you.

u/2ntyxx · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

If you are looking for a gaming monitor with similarities to this, I recommend waiting for a sale on [this Samsung monitor] (https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP). I bought mine for about $150 refurbished back in October (including tax, shipping, and recycling fee) thanks to this subreddit. I can't comment much about the monitor you posted, but I can tell you that I agree with other people when they say a curved 24 inch isn't very noticeable, and isn't worth the extra cost, if any. 27 inch is when the curvature becomes more prominent, or so I've read.

Go for Ryzen if you're gonna do editing.

[Get this monitor, it has sRGB mode.]
(https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP) I own a GN246HL, shit monitor for editing since the colour look washout, but aight for gaming. Don't save cost on PSU, a good one would go a long way.

I tried the xb241h which is basically the same as this but with gsync. It was the worst TN I've ever seen with terrible viewing angles and awful color. Ended up returning it and getting c24fg70 for same price without gsync but VA panel.

i have the 27" model and the colors are great, viewing angles are really good for not being ips and while the stand takes a lot of space out of your desk is really flexible

u/Rackder · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I've owned an Asus VG248QE for over 2 years now, it has served me pretty well. However, the colors are quite bad and you need to find a color profile for it to not look absolutely awful.

I recently tried the Samsung CFG70 24-inch Curved Gaming Monitor (1080p 144hz 1ms response time).
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP

The colors on the Samsung monitor are much better than my Asus VG248QE due to the Samsung being a VA panel and the Asus being a TN. I would suggest the CFG70.

u/MythicalPigeon · 2 pointsr/Monitors

What's your budget? The two best currently are the Viewsonic XG2401 and the Samsung C24FG70

u/theacaciastain · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I just purchased my first 144hz monitor. Samsung C24FG70. It has connections for HDMI and DP. The HDMI can only do 120hz but has 125% rgb. I should be getting it in the mail tomorrow. My question is, should I expect to notice a huge difference between 120/144hz? I love vivid colors, and 120fps would obviously be easier to hit than 144fps, if there isn't much of a difference between the two, it would be worth it to stick with the 120hz right? Coming from a 60hz monitor.

u/Arkbird1000 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I got the CFG70 and a friend of mine with a 1070 also picked one up when he saw how it performed. Neither of our monitors required further calibration (using by-eye tests such as lagom.nl) out of the box when set to the sRGB profile.

The monitor is not perfect. Mine has that slight purple trailing thing, and I'm pretty sure it's using the older firmware revision. I don't personally use Freesync, even with my 480, as I found that I didn't like it. Just pushing a high frame rate has been better. The stand can also be a bit wobbly.

Friend with 1070 now has two Freesync monitors, having had an LG 4K before he got the CFG70, and is looking at getting another one from Samsung's lineup. What I am trying to get at is that a Freesync monitor with an NVIDIA GPU isn't a bad purchase. Especially when you can comfortably push 144+ at the desired resolution.

Hope I provided something useful. Whatever you go with, I hope you are happy with your purchase!

Probably the best 1080p144 monitor you can buy right now, VA panel, Quantum Dot and a curved screen (doesn't really matter at 24", but still something).

u/due_the_drew · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Give this one a look: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IBQNISZ2N4RJQ&colid=1ZXG9MX5TWLZW

Its quantum dot, so its inbetween TN and IPS. It's not Gsync though, but with a 1070 you'd hit well over the 144 anyway. Maybe not with PUBG, can't imagine that game runs that well on any machine.

u/LemonLimeAlltheTime · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

If you play FPS games then you should check out 144Hz monitors.

I personally suggest the Samsung CFG70. It is a fantastic 1080p 144Hz monitor made specifically for gaming.

This is just my own suggestion so be sure to check out other monitors and find one that is right for you!

u/Sumo148 · 2 pointsr/RocketLeague

If you're looking into getting a 144hz monitor, you first need to make sure your machine can output fps higher than 144 consistently at the graphic settings you play at. You can turn on a fps counter in Steam. Make sure the fps isn't limited in Rocket League settings.

Most 144hz monitors cost +$200. You also can't use HDMI to take advantage of the higher refresh rate, you would need a DisplayPort cable or DVI cable. A few possibilities you can check out are below:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B2HH7G0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_1ykdAb3X3PKNE

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_iykdAbF7T639T

Then make sure your display adapter properties enables the higher refresh rate on your new monitor. Test the refresh rate at https://www.testufo.com/refreshrate

Although 75hz seems pretty good at the moment. I don't know if you really need to upgrade now, but if you have the extra cash lying around that's up to you.

If you're talking about a general upgrade to improve fps or to play on higher settings, then you probably want to invest into a better graphics card. Look into a gtx 970 or gtx 1060 (or if AMD rx 480 or rx 580). A 1070 or 1080 is probably overkill for 1080p gaming. Those graphic cards have the power to support higher monitor resolutions like 4K. I would ask your friend for advice first since he's the person that made the computer for you so they know what's compatible and what's best for your build.

I feel like in order to play on a 144hz monitor at least on max settings with Rocket League you would at least need at gtx 1060. Your gtx 560 probably isn't powerful enough to utilize a higher refresh rate monitor like 144hz.

Also make sure your power supply unit has enough wattage to power all your new upgrades. You seriously don't want to skimp out on a cheap PSU because those can blow up and cause fires destroying your PC (or worse your house).

Overall you're probably looking at $300-500 if you're going to buy a new graphics card with a 144hz monitor, depending on if you can find good deals or if you buy new.

Samsung CFG70 Series 24-Inch 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor (C24FG70) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EDjdAbZ1YH1DW

This is the one I just got a few weeks back. It's a bit above your price range, but I promise you won't regret it. 144hz makes the game insanely smooth. I have an i7, 1080, and 16gb of ram so I have no issues with dropping below 144.

Good luck man

Viewsonic XG2401 by far, its the king of the TN Panel 1080p 144hz freesync.
Recommend XG2402 I heard its improved in term firmware and more attractive overall.

The only one who able to beat it at 1080p freesync 144hz is C24FG73/70 (VA Panel - better color and viewing angle)
If you don't mind used that come with small cosmetic imperfections on sides of the item (probably scratches) - https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511553183&sr=8-1&keywords=C24FG73

Have the same exact problem but on the older model C24FG70. It gets worse (permanently) the colder it gets. Raising brightness does help with the warm up time, but still nothing short of a hassle. Samsung warranty is garbo as well.

I switched to a monitor 4 years ago and have had several different models and brands. The one I use now is new to the market and happens to have the fastest refresh rate out there. It has a built in processor so you can practically overclock it if you wanted. Great clarity and super detail in dark and light spots.

u/jcp419 · 1 pointr/buildapcforme

Please listen to this. A 1070 isn't really worth it without a 144hz monitor because you wont even be seeing all of the frames that your card is generating. Hz refers to the number of times that a monitor refreshes every second (each time displaying a new frame). So on a 60Hz monitor, you can only see 60fps, and on a 144hz monitor, you can see 144. It is so absolutely worth it. Here is my monitor which I absolutely adore. You don't need 144hz for your secondary non-gaming monitor.

u/Praseve · 1 pointr/Monitors

As far as I know for a curved VA high refresh rate panel, Samsung's your best bet. Samsung CFG70 24-inch 1080p 144hz 1ms FreeSync display (I've heard these Samsung monitors work with G-sync too). Some of those reviews say it's amazing and some are reporting quality control issues so it's tough to say if it's a good buy.

If you want IPS instead I'm afraid I'm not up to date on any curved options with those specs.

Edit: I hear this is a newer monitor of similar type, might want to look into that one as well

u/Headcase0 · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

I think that the Samsung model is better, the used price is the same, but I've seen it go on sale for $230-250 new pretty regularly.

Edit: amazon link.

Just throwing in my 2¢.

Thanks for asking. You had a relevant question and you weren't a dick about asking it so no rules broken my friend.

I have had a GN246HL 1080p144 TN for a while and ran it with a GTX 970 + i5-4690.

Assuming you have a recent core i5 then you'll be able to reach 144Hz in many games but you'll need to have a 7700k or something to ensure that the vast majority of games have minimum framerates over 100FPS.

Your 1060 assuming it's the 6GB is powerful enough for 1080p144 so no issues on that front. You'll need to play at medium to high settings in a lot of games to make sure to reach 120-144FPS and above.

With a 144Hz monitor, you are far less likely to see tearing or stuttering than with a 60Hz one. Adaptive sync is wonderful if you drop below 60FPS and want to keep a relatively smooth experience. While adaptive-sync is nice and if you had an RX 580 then I'd say get freesync but G-Sync is prohibitively expensive. If you play at med-high settings and get around 120 FPS or more then you're probably going to be comfortable with V-Sync off and the minimal screen tearing you might see. You can also use V-Sync at 72 FPS and crank the visuals which will provide a surprisingly significantly better experience than 60FPS.

I hope I explained that alright.

Anyways, I'd say my Acer is a decent monitor but that many other 1080p144 monitors are better.

This one at $170 appears to have some QA issues so you might need to return it but it's cheap and decent if it works:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824160313&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

This one at $230 is probably the best 1080p144 TN monitor you can buy:

There are actually no IPS 1080p 144hz panels, but the closest is probably Samsung CFG70. 24 inch, Slight curve, VA panel (better color than TN), 144hz and freesync support. Right at around your budget.

Roughly 25% of reviewers give 3-stars or less. Most often cited issue is dead pixels (much like IPS panels) or discolourations in the screen (like colour shifting).

Source: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP

My suggestion is if you were to get the monitor, consider the same type of insurance places like NewEgg/NCIX have where you can pay a few extra bucks to freely ship it back-and-forth with the distributor if you get a bad monitor (or successive bad monitors).

Beautiful colours/contrast come at a price, and I'm not just referring to the cash. Buyers should consider the possibility of time, effort and frustration that might accompany the process if you are serious about a relatively flawless product.

u/S1iceOfPie · 1 pointr/Monitors

I'd say go for the Samsung CFG70 with a VA panel instead of a TN monitor for better colors and viewing angles.

It's got pretty good reviews and is priced similarly to other 1080p 144 Hz TN monitors.

If you have an Nvidia card, you may be interested in the CFG75 coming later down the road (apparently this year), which will be the G-sync variant of this monitor.

It's pretty hard to get both a display for photo editing while at the same time gaming (assuming you want 144hz) at that price range. If you want good colors and high refresh rates, the closest monitor that fits your requirements right now would be the Samsung C24FG70. It's a 144hz VA panel that usually goes for $279. Also note that it's a CURVED monitor so it might not be the best for photo editing. There should be a refresh on this monitor soon that changes the stand (the current one is kind of large and wobbly).

PCMonitors does a good review of this monitor if you'd like more information on it.

You can check out the CFG70 and use motion blur reduction to bring it down (you'll need it if you want fast response time)

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP

Or you can try this cheap IPS that also has blur reduction.

https://www.amazon.com/LG-27MP59G-P-27-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B06XFGCKL6/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1501172807&sr=8-6&keywords=lg+blur+reduction+monitor

Choose these two if you want a little picture quality go alongside. If you want the fastest response time, go with a TN panel.

I love apex, it's a lot of fun to play but sometimes it's annoying to play. I keep constantly getting a blue tint on my screen that's on my whole monitor even when I exit the game. The only fix is to turn off and back on my monitor. It happens most of the time when I take a lot of dmg or go down. I've changed all of my settings multiple times but nothing has changed it. It's never happened on my monitor before and I can't find anything online about it.

XG2401 is always a better choice than the XL2411.

Consider this if you want a VA panel:

For budget level I've seen in person the Viewsonic XG2401 , Acer XF24H (Roommate owns this one) , and Samsung C24FG70 (I own this one) and they're all really good budget monitors. If I had to rank them in terms of display it would be Samsung->Viewsonic->Acer. The Samsung is the only one that is not a TN pane but it is also the priciest. I bought it because I got it on a huge deal at Fry's. the curve is negligible. All 144hz, all 1 ms response time, all 1920x1080 which is all we can hope for at this level of GPU really, maybe a little 1440 but not a whole lot. I would recommend any of the three. We were cautious about the Acer due to lack of reviews but has really impressed us so far. Just have to a do a little fiddling with colors out of the box. Another bonus the Samsung has is the quality as it comes out of the box. It also produces the largest reproduction of color gamut. In my opinion all are very good value and fantastic 144hz entry level monitors. They're no 144hz IPS GSync monitor or anything but they definitely get there job done!

I am thinking of getting the quotes from different vendors and see it if I can squeeze 2070.
The mouse looks like a good option.

The monitor looks like a TN display.
I was hoping to squeeze in VA display.
I was thinking about https://www.amazon.in/Samsung-23-5-Curved-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B01M1DEEYP as an alternative but seems expensive.

Although I have no idea between TN and VA displays practically whether the difference is noticeable.

u/unfunnydick · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Amazon is also selling this for $329.99 which is great if you have free Prime shipping. Sadly they already ran out of the Watchdogs 2 code, so it's just the monitor.

u/Frickboi · 1 pointr/buildapc

Personally I'm about to buy a Samsung CFG70 24" for $300, but that's probably way overkill, and you can definitely go cheaper without giving up much. :) Some of the other replies have already made some good suggestions.

u/satyanjoy · 1 pointr/IndianGaming

I found this one - LC24FG70FQ , 23k at amazon now

u/cfl2 · 1 pointr/OverwatchUniversity

There isn't a cheap IPS, but there is a cheap and very good VA monitor:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP/

Have it myself and it's great.

u/AssCrustt · 1 pointr/GlobalOffensive

That is a really nice monitor. The only reason I was looking at a curved monitor was because i play many other games besides csgo, and having a nice display would be nice.

The curved monitors that I was looking at was This one and This one.

Question, Won't it be cheaper to buy it from Amazon because tax is included?
The link is here:

u/LyokoNinja · 1 pointr/thinkpad

I know the one you linked is ~$100, but if you're not averse to spending $280 plus any potential shipping/tax on a 1080p monitor that'll last then I can't think of anything better than the Samsung C24FG70. It's got a slight curve that I thought would be a gimmick, but with how close I sit to my desk it keeps things in my peripheral vision a lot better. And since you mentioned an eGPU I'm assuming you want to game. It's got a VA panel instead of IPS with a 144 Hz refresh rate, it covers 125% of the sRGB gamut (whatever the hell being over 100% means; I just know it looks gorgeous), and it's matte, not glossy. Here's the Amazon page if you wanna take a look:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP

u/methologic · 1 pointr/buildapc

If you can afford it, then the Dell-S2417DG is your best bet.

If you want something cheaper then you should go with the Samsung C24FG70 /u/seelhadraj recommended.

u/godvirus · 1 pointr/Monitors

There is a 24 inch version of the c27fg70, called c24fg70:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-24-Inch-Curved-Monitor-C24FG70/dp/B01M1DEEYP

Also, if you want higher res, there is the cf791, 3440x1440 100hz. But higher 4ms response.

Waiting is not a bad idea. :) Still deciding if I like the c27.

u/seelhadraj · 1 pointr/buildapc

The cheapest non-TN 144hz monitor I know of is the Samsung C24FG70. Please note the panel is VA, not IPS.

u/EXVs · 1 pointr/Monitors

this monitor is notorious for this exact problem on amazon. Dunno why tho, i think it's the monitor itself.

Same panel as MSI Optix @ 24". Amazon returns are easy, Samsung also is pretty responsive in RMAs if the return period for Amazon passed.

u/learnyouahaskell · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

It is not the formatting that is the matter, it is the combination. You are using the price point of A+B or B+C instead A and B and C.

One-forty-four hertz in IPS comes in 1080p at this level:

One-forty-four hertz and 1440p comes in TN flavor at this price:

I got a https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/ref=twister_B01MA2B2KU?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 for a friend for general use/gaming. Beautiful screen and the curvature is really nice.

u/AnthonyThe6reat · 1 pointr/Monitors

Personally buying one as well and I cant decide between these 3. I wanted a VA panel for sure because TN panels are just awful at the 300 and under price point. 24 inches is a perfect size for me so all my suggestions will be that. As always do a frick load of research. A week ago I knew nothing about monitors now I know so much about there marketing schemes and what these monitors really display.

What do you think about this monitor? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M1DEEYP/?tag=pcpapi-20 Its 50 dollars less than the dell and I really like the curved design. Also, the 1920x1080p is marginally worse than 1440p in my eyes. That leaves the G-sync though and I'm afraid I have no idea what that is haha
