Just a heads up, this is $22.49 on amazon and it’s prime. 1-day shipping where I am.

Very easy.

You can find a pre made build online and just copy it to a flash drive and it’s good to go. As long as the drive is plugged in, the hack works. Power off the system and unplug the drive and it’s back to stock.

Here’s what I can confirm works flawlessly with my PlayStation Classic

I’m pretty sure I can’t link directly to the site with the pre made build, but arcadepunks dot com and look around. Copy that build onto a drive and you’re good to go.

This one works well for me. Also like form factor.

Enjoy! Got mine Saturday and love it.

Common recommendations;
Console wrap (ev wraps or Kendrick)
Wireless charger (Taptes works, but mine doesn’t sit very well in the location. Might be user error though)
USB drive (Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus 128GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_spBGDbJGXFEQ3) is great
Floor mats (Tesla)
Microfiber clothes
Something to clean inside (car guys super cleaner for me)
Something to clean outside (optimum no rinse)

Probably more stuff I’m missing but this is a good start

I bought this in October, 128 GB, and it's worked perfectly since. You do have to format it though.

This. I scheduled a service center appointment to have them look at this and something else. They did a remote diagnostic and confirmed it was a known software issue.

I bought this- it's the fastest and probably the smallest one you can buy:

You can hardly see it when it's plugged in. Works great with the dashcam feature so far, now just waiting for the new Sentry update to push.

I bought a rugged Samsung 128GB thumb drive for my TeslaCam which is designed to withstand "-25°C to 85°C operating, -40°C to 85°C non-operating". I've had zero issues in the 3 months I've had it, most of the time the car is sitting in an outdoor lot baking in the sun at 90ªF+ temps.

This is awesome! Thx man was hoping to find a good sentry option. Currently using Samsung FIT Plus USB 3.1 Flash Drive 128GB - 300MB/s (MUF-128AB/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_pAa4DbW1T7EGY and I have to unplug and plug it back in every 2 or 3 days

u/dhanson865 · 3 pointsr/teslamotors

depends on if you want best value or money is no object. It also matters if you live somewhere that is very hot or very cold.

The cheapest I'd recommend is the 256GB https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC . It has a 5 year warranty but the lower capacity you get the less time it'll last in a Teslacam usage scenario. The 128GB version isn't likely to last a year in that sort of demanding write cycles. The 256GB might last a year or two.

Those handle some temps that SSDs don't and it's not large so it is less likely to be noticed by a burglar/vandal.

A higher capacity SSD will last longer but you might save money in the long run by replacing a thumb drive every couple of years instead of paying up front for a more expensive drive.

u/Ocrizo · 3 pointsr/TeslaModel3

Based on customer reviews on Amazon who are testing this drive with CrystalDiskMark, the standard benchmark used to assess read/write speeds, it is capable of writing 24 Mbps to 29 Mbps. In theory, that should be adequate. However, with the addition of the 4th camera, many user’s flash drives will become inadequate for Sentry Mode.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hbcNDb5KMT3GR

Edit: capped “Mbps” and added a link to the Amazon listing.

It started giving me the same error even with this one Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus 128GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5G2CDb4NW78VW

Was working fine for 3 months. I think it started after the latest update. Not sure what to do. This seems fast enough.

u/onestopunder · 3 pointsr/teslamotors

Get a 128GB or larger Samsung FIT drive. Works perfectly and has worked for me since day 1. As an added bonus, it's practically invisible.

u/DARK_HURRiKANE · 2 pointsr/miniSNESmods

Yep, that's just what I was going to say wizisi2k.

GOU_NoMoreMrNiceGuy:

This may seem eye-rolly, but with this particular thing we are all doing you actually for once in the history of Windows need to remove the thumbdrive the 'proper' way. You know that "Safely Remove Hardware" thing. Honestly or it can mess with your drive causing a lot of these C8 errors.

Reading your original post I'm unclear on something. Are you removing the thumbstick from the USB Hub while your SNESc is powered on? That is a big no no, and you could get C7 or C2 errors doing that. Just so you know there is nothing wrong, removing any USB drive and then booting up your SNESc will allow the little console to load up the preloaded games. That's normal and comes from the way hakchi is flashed onto the SNESc. It's done on purpose.

Below is the drive I use. From my research it has the fastest read times on the market in it's class and for the cost. It's another expense, but maybe give it a go if you can.

I am not sure but I know a USB that does work. It was actually recommended by a member on here. I purchased it and tried it. You have to format it to fat32 but it works without a powered usb hub. I suggest you spend a few dollars more and get this usb instead. It is the 128GB drive by the way.

I've been getting the USB write error more often lately. I have the Samsung 128GB flash drive that's been recommended here ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D7PDLXC/ ) and it worked great for months. Could it be the splitter that came with the Taptes wireless charger?

u/Dithyrab · 2 pointsr/PlaystationClassic

I got a few of these samsung ones. I like them and they've worked pretty well for everything except the actual OTG install

u/NewbornfromHell · 2 pointsr/PlaystationClassic

I use the samsung drive Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus 128GB - 300MB/s USB 3.1 Flash Drive without mods or hub.

One important note: Don't push the usb device to far into the usb port of PCS otherwise auto bleem will not recognize it (not always). Just push it slightly in and it will work everytime.

Here are two photos to prove it:

Many drives have faster read/write speed in higher storage models. So even you don’t need all the storage, choosing a larger one may still be worth it.

This one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC/ for example, is 300 MB/s read speed for 128 GB ones and above, and 200 MB/s for smaller ones.

u/cwanja · 2 pointsr/TeslaLounge

Everyone has their own preference, but I have had great success with this: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MUF-128AB-AM-Plus-128GB/dp/B07D7PDLXC/

I use a 256GB for all my PSX games, and another 128GB for all my Retro games.

I don't use Bleemsync, I use autobleem on the 256, and just retroarch on the 128.

u/samusgalliumthroaway · 1 pointr/GalliumOS

Thanks. I think I might try sending the drive back and getting another instead.

Is this the Samsung drive you're referring to? It's a little big though... do you know of any other compact/smaller ones that might be good?

I would love something like this (i.e., as small as possible). But this one is USB 2.0 (and I don't know if it'd be compatible or if it'd have any overheating issues).

On another note, if I got a new USB stick, would it be possible to copy the contents of the old one onto the new one? I spent a couple days setting everything up on the SanDisk Ultra Fit and would love to not have to do that again... I realize it's not as simple as copy and paste, so wondering how I might be able to do it?

Sorry for the late reply - work.

Bleemsync 1.1 with OTG capability added using USB loaded directly into controller port 2.

I use this USB:

Samsung MUF-128AB/AM FIT Plus... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D7PDLXC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Plug USB into PC and format into FAT32, name it SONY. Move Bleemsync files to USB. Unplug, plug into UNPLUGGED PSC controller port 2. Plug in PSC and allow it to update the console. It will backup the console details and update kernel data. Once done, unplug PSC, remove USB and plug into PC again. SAVE ALL OF THIS SOMEWHERE, MULTIPLE PLACES. Move 1 specific file over to USB, plug back into port 2 on unplugged PSC, plug in PSC, allow it to update. When it shuts down in like 60 seconds it’s all done.

The above takes all of like 10 minutes for this entire process. Then you can plug your USB into this:

AuviPal 2-in-1 Micro USB Cable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FY9Z9GD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

No power mod required. Just a pass through.

I deleted Bleemsync after and added Autobleem 0.6b3 which now includes Retroarch, now I boot into Autobleem directly.

Hey, I know the answer to this! An A2 SD card is your best option at the moment until someone makes a low profile USB 3.1 stick that doesn't overheat and throttle.

I tested about half a dozen low profile USB 3.1 sticks while trying to answer this question for myself. Every stick I tested overheats and throttles under load, most throttle so badly that you might as well be using USB 2.0, most hit something ridiculous like 5MB/s when overheated. The only super low profile USB 3.1 drive in the batch that didn't throttle down to ridiculously low speed was the Samsung Fit Plus, and while it didn't throttle to unusable speeds it did still throttle significantly.

The fastest overall performance for interactive use (I run a couple of crouton chroots from and store a steam library on mine) during my testing came from a SanDisk A2 Extreme micro SD card. The USB 3.1 sticks are faster for burst transfers before they overheat, but once they overheat performance drops so low that they're almost unusable.

A couple of notes: I ran that suite of storage tests around a year ago, at the time SanDisk was the only mfgr with an A2 rated uSD card available.

I also have an Acer, I picked up a half-sized SD to uSD adapter and use that so the whole assembly is recessed into the SD slot, it could be a little tricky to get out at some point if it ever comes out at an angle and gets stuck. So far I haven't had this problem but be aware of it if you decide to do the same thing.

You'll need to remount the SD storage from the chromeOS shell so that it's persistent and doesn't disconnect every time the Chromebook sleeps. I have a couple of bookmarks detailing that somewhere, I'll look for them.

u/Fewshot · 1 pointr/teslamotors

These SD cards are 100mb/s. My USB stick is double that, 200mb/s.

I tried with this one with the Apple adapter, complained about needing more power. Once I also plugged in the lightning charge cable it worked. A bit clumsy though. iOS 13 PB1 iPhone 8+ has been mostly fine for me, fwiw.

Could you recommend me a small flash drive that's pretty fast and tiny or are those the best I can get? I might just get the 128gb version of my old drive haha. Would this be even faster than the other two? And is this about as good? I don't need to have a 3.1 port in my PC to be able to sustain those speeds, do I?
