Not likely related to the update since you can't format it on PC either. FWIW, pny and kingston are the only two brands of flash memory I've ever had fail on me.

Stick with Sandisk or Samsung.

u/elitenls · 37 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Seconded. 128GB for $20.99, 256 for $44.99, 512 for $99.99. There's no fucking reason not to.

u/RickyCZ · 28 pointsr/NintendoSwitchDeals

If you are going full digital the mininum you need is 200/256GB but if you still buy physical games then 128GB is good enough. I bought one with 128GB but from Samsung because I trust them more when it comes to flash storage(Their SSDs are great) and because I have read multiple times that you can get fake ones when buying this SanDisk model even with Amazon as a seller.

Here is the Samsung model if you want to purchase one:

I’m so glad you asked this question before buying. First of all, no question is silly. The daily question thread is exactly for these types of quick answer questions.

Do not buy the Nintendo official SD cards. They’re way way overpriced. I’d buy either a Sandisk or Samsung 128gb Micro SD card ($40), as that size give you best bang for the buck. I’ll link a couple below. If you want something smaller or bigger, just let me know.

I’m one of the mods here, so welcome to the subreddit!

Samsung evo is a better sd card and goes for the same price pretty much 100% of the time https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP/

Don't buy SD cards in physical retail locations like bestbuy. Their "deals" are just them marking the price down to the actual online price when most of the time they are marked way up. When they do go on sale for real you'll see them for like $25-$40 on Amazon.

EDIT Here's the Sandisk one https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Standard-Packaging-SDSQUNC-128G-GN6MA/dp/B010Q57S62 for the same price on Amazon. No mention of a sale while bestbuy is claiming $118 off. Just bestbuy fuckary going on there. Samsung one I linked is still better as it's rated 30MB/s minimum while the sandisk is 10MB/s minimum.

u/cowsareverywhere · 21 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

These are still quite expensive for an older card that has a max speed of 48Mbps, the newer ones are only $10 more with a max speed of 100Mbps.

u/video_dewd · 17 pointsr/mildlyinteresting

Theres the Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO (MB-ME128GA/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZWYVP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_Ju5qvCT7wJE1I

Though it's $25 right now I got it on sale for $20 in December.

Here is a video that goes over current SD card specifications pretty well. I'll post what I got out of it and a little bit of additional research:

CAPACITY

There are three different types of SD cards that indicate a size range. SD cards are up to 2GB and are useless for our purposes. SDHC cards are from 4-32 GB and are ill-advised since 32GB isn't really enough. What we're interested in is SDXC cards which are from 64GB to 2TB. Each card has a micro version which is what we need. Capacity type doesn't have an impact on performance.

WRITE SPEED

There are two different families of speed classes that indicate a minimum write performance. The first, traditional speed class comes in Class 2, Class 4, Class 6, and Class 10. The number corresponds to their write speed, Class 2 is 2MB/s, class 10 is 10MB/s. This class is denoted by their number inside of a "C".

The other family of speed class is UHS. There are only two types, type 1 and type 3. These are denoted by their number inside of a "U" shaped symbol. UHS1 writes at 10MB/s, UHS3 writes at 30MB/s. That means the Class 10 and UHS1 have the same minimum write performance, but we're just going to look at UHS cards from now on. It is possible for a card to claim a UHS class speed, and a Class 10 speed.

Bus Interface

There are two different bus interfaces for UHS cards, UHS-I and UHS-II. These are denoted by roman numerals rather than our numbers. UHS-II cards have a second row of connection pins on the back of the card, while UHS-I just has the single row. UHS-II cards can transfer data faster than UHS-I cards when they are in a UHS-II compatible machine. If the machine is not UHS-II compatible then there is no benefit, however the UHS-II card will still work as it is backwards compatible. It does not look like the Nintendo Switch is UHS-III compatible, so there is no benefit to using a UHS-II card in it, which is a shame because the II interface can help read speeds tremendously.

So what is Nintendo recommending with OP's card? A microSDXC UHS3-I card. Meaning it is a micro version of a 64GB card, with the best write speed class, and the standard/worse Bus interface.

Nintendo-licensed Sandisk microSDXC 64GB UHS3-I for $19.99

Non licensed Sandisk microSDXC 64GB UHS3-I card for $23

/u/Nobody_is_lurking posted two contenders...

Sandisk microSDXC 64GB UHS1-I card for $14.25

Sandisk microSDXC 128GB UHS1-I card
for $23.25

...but it isn't actually an apples to apples comparison, as they are both UHS1 rather than UHS3. The $6 question is how big of a difference is there functionally between the two speed classes when actually being used by a Switch, which someone already took the time to test!

The results show that, when write speed was involved, the difference was significant, and that installed games can go by 3x faster using a UHS3 card. So sure, the UHS3 is a clear winner for installing, but what people really care about are load times, showed a less drastic story. Installing locally on the Switch beats any external storage options that we're looking at, then the UHS3 trailed shortly behind, with UHS1 following a little longer. For a regularly installed game the difference in load times doesn't seem to be more than a couple of seconds, even if the load time is a minute long. This guy also tested homebrew launched games though, which did show a much bigger difference between UHS1 and UHS3. So there is a difference in load time, but just not a massive one that many people would notice.

Looking at value, for whatever reason the Nintendo-licensed cards are currently cheaper than their equivalent nonlicensed cards, both the 64Gb and 128GB. Obviously the UHS-1 is cheaper than the UHS-3 across the board.

But if you want to branch away from Sandisk you can have the best of both worlds with a Samsung 64GB UHS3-I card for $15 The price per MB stays consistent at bigger sizes as well, so if you wanted a 128GB one it'd be $30.

tl;dr Buy this one. It is better and cheaper.

u/Jlong129 · 15 pointsr/3dspiracy

agreed. Unless you're on a tight budget. Amazon has larger for barely more and are U3 for better speeds.

I have the YI cam that was recommended by Reddit. It's very good and the quality is great. It loop records so you get plenty of video before it overwrites the old videos. I have the 256 gb microSD, and I get well over 10 hours of video before it loops.

Cam ($50 USD)- https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C89GCHU

MicroSD - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP

Rear view mirror mount - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KM9A5F4

The rear view mirror mount ended up being loose on my rear view mirror, even after tightening it all of the way. Your mileage may vary, but I just rigged mine to fit.

Here is an example video of it in action (although Reddit does compress it a lot, so the quality on the raw video is far better at 1080p)

Edit - give me a few minutes, I'll upload the raw video.

Edit 2 - Here is the raw video (YouTube still compressed it a little). -- https://youtu.be/9Wjs4OTcK1M

The thing that I love about these dash cams is that you can plug them in and forget about them. It's not like a cellphone app where you have to diddle around with your phone before you can start driving (that would annoy me to all hell). I disable the sound to make the file sizes a lot more reasonable.

u/CripplerJones · 13 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

You forgot:

  • I finally got a Nintendo Switch! Which accessories should I buy for it before it gets here? Most people recommend a screen protector and a carrying case. As for the most frequently recommended carrying cases, there's this one from RDS Industries and this one from Butterfox.

  • What's the biggest, cheapest, most reliable microSD card I can buy for the Switch? There's no best answer, but a lot of people on this sub recommend this one from Samsung.

  • Should I buy a Nintendo Switch? What about all of the problems I heard about? Maybe? I don't know. That's your call, friend. There are problems, as there are with any new piece of technology, but Nintendo has a great warranty with excellent customer support, and the issues aren't quite as widespread as it seems (people are most vocal when there's a problem; they typically won't say anything if there's nothing wrong).

  • What games are coming out for the Switch? There's a link in the sidebar on desktop, but for mobile users, check here.
u/ndscable · 12 pointsr/NintendoSwitchDeals

I highly recommend anyone looking to do memory expansion for their Switch to not go with the particular version of the Sandisk Ultra microSD cards. You'll be better served getting either this Sandisk Ultra or the Samsung Evo that /u/Squidula linked to in his comment.

Both have 100mb/s Read/Write speeds versus this one's 48mb/s speed. Some games may lag or just not load at the lower speed and it's only going to be more and more of a requirement to have the 100mb/s speed in the future.

Drivers, get a dashcam.

Amazon currently has mine on sale for $35, plus $20 for a decently sized SD card.

With the price of cards, go with a 128 Gig Card. They are SO cheap now. 256 Gig cards are still way too expensive. You could buy 2 128s and swap them out cheaper than 1 256.

  • Dashcam + Micro SD card + Hardwire kit = Cost

  • Or Dashcam + Micro SD card = No parking mode.

    ---

Write down your values right now.

  • Video quality = 0-10

  • Build quality = 0-10

  • Parking mode = 0-10

0 being the lowest, 10 being the highest.

A129 isn't a bad dash cam, but be prepared for your values to shift after ownership after a while. If you did your research, you know what you are purchasing. A129 2CH is what it is, as advertised.

    ---

  • A129 ($160 USD) Dash cam

  • Micro SD card - TLC based cards will not last as long as MLC based High Endurance cards. 128 GB Micro SD card TLC based card likely ($20 USD) vs 64 GB High Endurance Micro SD card MLC based card likely ($43 USD)

Micro SD cards last about a year or 2, maybe 3, then die. They have a limited number of read/write/rewrite cycles. Some are not Dashcam rated (will say in the warranty use in a dash cam will void warranty.) Some dash cams are picky with Micro SD cards and reject them on an unknown criteria. Some dash cams have recommended brands of Micro SD cards.

  • Viofo 3 wire Hardwire kit ($15 USD) - Low voltage cut off feature (Adjustable) Voltage only.

  • Viofo 2 wire hardwire kit ($10 USD) - Low voltage cut off feature (Preset/Not Adjustable) Voltage only.

  • Power Magic Pro 3 wire hardwire kit ($24-30 USD) - Low voltage cut off feature (Adjustable) Voltage/Timer based.

So I don't know how Viofo parking mode activates under different situations.

  • Typical 2 wire system = Motion sensor(Movement in front of camera lens)/G sensor (hits bumps) inactivity, with required 1-2 minutes of "Quiet time." If the dash cam does not get its required "Quiet time" it will record normally until Low voltage cut off feature activates. Low voltage cut off feature (Preset/Not Adjustable) Voltage only.

1st wire (Postitive) -> Always on fuse = Parking mode; 2nd wire -> Ground wire (Negative) to unpainted bolt (completes circuit).

    Or

1st wire (Positive) -> Ignition only fuse = No parking mode; 2nd wire -> Ground wire (Negative) to unpainted bolt (completes circuit).

  • Typical 3 wire system = Ignition switch position parking mode detection. This typically is more reliable way to detect if parked. However High end/Luxury vehicles with an (Unique/Specific) sleep mode will require an (Unique/Specific) hardwiring setup to allow the dash cam to work. (Sometimes including tunneling through the firewall to the battery, then re-insulating said fire wall.) Low voltage cut off feature (Adjustable) Voltage/Timer based.

1st wire (Bat) -> Always on fuse = Powers dash cam; 2nd wire (ACC) -> Ignition only fuse = Detects if parked or driving; 3rd wire -> Ground wire (Negative) to unpainted bolt (completes circuit).

    I don't know how/if A129 changes from 2 -> 3 wire, or from 3 wire viofo -> 3 wire Power Magic Pro.

  • Tap a fuse ($5-15 USD) + 5 amp fuse ($1-5 USD) at any automotive store.

All Fuses, including Tap a fuse should match your vehicle's type. Mini/Mini low profile are the most common. There are also ATO, Micro 2, Micro 3, and Maxi type fuses.

Read your owner's manual for fuse box location(s) typically 2-3 in every vehicle - in/under dashboard (use this one), Under hood (avoid at all costs), In door (use able but not favored), and Trunk (Use able but not favored.)

I have the 64GB version of this card. It has lasted years but is super slow with writes.

CrystalDiskMark read results were OK at 86, 3, 3, 2.7 MB/s. Write was terrible at 7.5, 1.2, 0.9, 0.9 MB/s !

I never noticed how slow it was until trying to take 4K video, fuggetaboutit. It's too slow for 1080p60.

Moved up to the 128GB Samsung Evo Select (U3), tested sequential read/write is 95 and 87 MB/s respectively. It's $19.49, 15% cash back with Amazon Prime card.

i think this was the card

and i recommend u3 because of how much quicker it is to flash firmware from scratch as well as copying large files

I have this one and am very happy with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

According to customer reviews, it's faster than the older Plus youve linked.

Just dont get a sandisk ultra. My phones (both windows and android) have killed 2x 64gb ultra cards and 1x 128gb ultra cards (so 100% of all sandisk microsds ive ever owned).

Speed is definitely noticeable compared to the sandisks. When i had a tonne of photos the sandisk would cause the gallery app to crash. With the samsung, no rpoblem.

u/Merppity · 4 pointsr/fireemblem

I know this isn't really an answer, but you might wanna look into an SD Card. 64 GB ones aren't very expensive. Even very good ones like this 128 GB card are only $20 dollars or so.

If you don't feel like doing that, maybe check Target, Walmart, or Best Buy? They'll also have inventory for stores listed on their websites and you can usually reserve a physical copy for pickup as well.

u/MatNomis · 4 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Even without the technical issues involved, I think swapping cards all the time would be a pain in the neck. What is the barrier to picking up a larger card? You can get a 128gig, high performance U3 card (Samsung Evo) for $20 from Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSD-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP )

That's the price of a single indie game, and would give you double the space of your two 32gb cards combined...and you would not need to swap. Even so, I'd recommend paying double in order to get the 256gb version. I recently maxed out my 128gb and had to upgrade. It was possible and ended up being very clean, but it was a little bit of a hassle to perform the data transfer.

u/dkimmortal · 4 pointsr/lgg6

for pics, evo cards are fine or any basic from a reputable company...

For UHD video to be recorded directly onto the sdcard, depending on the bitrate (e.g. 40mbps etc), you need a card that can write at a speed greater than that, Samsung Pro cards are rated to write around 80-90mbps and read around the same, Sandisk has similar cards but where i am, Samsung is cheaper.
I myself got the Samsung pro 64gb microsd for the above reason, those evo cards that display 95mbps, thats for read, write is still limited to 15-20mbps. But the 2017 Samsung Evo Select after a certain size can write at ~90mbps i think its 64 or 128gb, only disadvantage of this over a pro card is that its MLC meaning if both were used exactly the same again and again, the pro would last longer than the evo select

That sounds like a complicated solution (e.g. prone to failure) for a simple problem. The simplest solution would simply be to inform whoever is managing the laptops that they must be online on a schedule for backups and failure to adhere to that could result in data loss. The next easiest would be to add a backup drive to each laptop. Low profile thumb drives, SSD cards, etc. Are all inexpensive. Lastly, adding some sort of NAS device that they could connect to locally if needed would still be simpler than some sort of Silicon Valley storage solution.

  • Screen Protector. I suggest a tempered glass screen protector
  • SD Card. Dpending on how committed you are to digital vs. physical, a 64gb or 128gb should hold you over. Wait for them to go on sale, they go on sale pretty often.
  • Carrying case. I recommend the ButterFox carrying cases, they come in different sizes so pick one that suits you.
  • A stand. By stand I mean something that will hold your Switch and provide access to the USB port for charging. Some recommend the Hori play stand, for me that's a bit too bulky and went with one meant for cellphones, works wonders.
  • Portable battery pack, look for ones with at least 2.1A output to sustain gameplay when charging.
  • Pro controller, it's essential on most games, literally night and day from the joy cons. I suggest getting the Xenoblade version because it has an updated D-Pad that the original has.
  • Another dock, theres a lot of controversy here. There are 3rd party options out there they have been noted as dangerous to your Switch and may brick it and render it useless. From my experience, I've had great success with the Nyko dock and the Best Buy Insignia dock, use these at your own risk. You could play it safe and buy another official Nintendo dock. it's not as cheap however.

You won't need the extra performance for the Switch, but it's objectively a better for the same price so why not? It future proofs it for whatever reason. Say an updated Switch comes out that can utilize it (not likely, but hypothetical) or you just upgrade from 128 and repurpose your "old" Switch card as backup storage for your PC or something. Like you, I tried finding deals for new Switch memory cards specifically but this seems to be the best overall deal I could find. In normal circumstances, the U1 card would probably be cheaper and the better buy if you're using it exclusively for the Switch; but considering this is just an upgrade for the same price there's not really a reason to look at the U1.

u/Doctursea · 3 pointsr/GameDeals

It's a computer chip with storage space on it, so you can put more game data on it. Just like a memory card, on the bottom of the swtich there is a slot to place one and it will expand it's storage space greatly.

I'm unsure if it matters for the Switch, but these are U1 rated, guaranteed minimum data speed of 10mbps. Samsung has a U3 (30mbps) card for only slightly more:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSD-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526399448&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+128

I still don't need a MicroSD card quite yet for my Switch, but Sandisk and Samsung are both solid names in the memory space, so I'd trust either of them. Hopefully the 256GB returns to a good price, the 128GB sure seems like a deal.

I second the Roav nomination. I have THREE Roav A1in my Bolt, Front, Rear, and Charge Port.

I've had them about a year and have had zero issues. I've pulled numerous incidents off the cameras and posted them online for my friends.

I paid about $43 each for them from Amazon.

Also, be sure you get good SD cards. Bad cards lead to no video when you really need it. I have these Samsung Evo Selects and have not had one fail yet.

Tempered glass screen protector. It completely prevents the issue some people have where the official dock can scratch the screen.

I also really like the tomtoc slim case (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0769CK4Z7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_taa_-aPMAbYXYQVV1), but it does have a chemical smell that takes a few days to dissipate.

Get the 360 Camera. You can get 3rd party fast wireless chargers for around $20 USD and the 128GB MicroSD for about $50 USD. So you can make you're own bundle for about $70+tax.

The 360 Camera on the other hand retails for $175+tax.

So in the end, you get more value with the 360 camera than the wireless charger+MicroSD combo.

Using these in all 4 of my cams. Great quality for the $. Despite what others have said - do not opt for cheapest option. Flash memory (SD cards, SSD, etc...) have a finite number of read/writes. If your cameras are configured for “Continuous Recording” you’ll burn out the cheapest cards in a month+.

This is the SD card + reader I picked up when it was on sale for the holidays. If you're just looking for a reader, this one seems to be the most recommended. Or if you have a decent electronics store nearby like Fry's or BB, you can compare with them.

Wow this is a low-spec piece of garbage. Buy a 128GB SD card (like this one), and stick it in. If you really need hard disk space, unfortunately you'll need to maybe put Linux on it, as that is considered pretty normal type of space as far as Windows goes.

Get something like this

Initialize the card in the bit.

Put your vacation pictures on the card every year (or whatever frequency you vacation) and put the card in the bit.

If you don't use it a LOT more, I'd be very surprised.

This made all the difference for me, and utilizes (untethered to your phone and/or camera) the very best of what the 'Bit offers.

Look for high endurance cards for 64gb and less. If you need a larger card (i.e. 128gb & greater) Samsung EVO Select has been a reliable card thus far.

High endurance cards are only listed in 32gb & 64gb variants which are MLC (you won't find "high endurance" labeled cards for 128gb and up). Once you go 128gb and larger the prices for MLC cards shoot up astronomically and isn't a realistic option for most people especially if you find a card for less that works just as good (even if it's not MLC such as the Samsung card I linked).

u/bizcocho1305 · 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Hell, official-factory refurbished "new" 3DS and 2DS XLs are on sale at Nintendo's online store. I just purchased a 2DS XL for $99 from them. It shipped from WA state. Got it in 4 business days for the $5 shipping, and it was safely and well packed.

Figure $110 after tax for a new 2DS XL shipped, or about $20 more for a refurbed 3DS.

The $20 128 GB SDXC memory card you were talking about also has a reader bundled with it for ~$8 more, if one needed it.

If one doesn't want to purchase a flashcart for ~$25 shipped (reputable retailer for official flashcarts), and doesn't have easy access to one to borrow, that person is gonna have to use (most likely for firmware ranges on units refurbished by Nintendo) Seedminer.

Overall looking at ~$130-$160ish to grab just the refurbed console (depending on 2DS/3DS) and memory card, and take the time to use Seedminer. Unless that person wanted to hardmod it for boot9strap.

I believe that purchasing a flashcart is a worthy investment to nearly guarantee the easiest and smoothest method to mod a console. The benefits the flashcart has beyond that is also well-worth the ~$25 for a quality flashcart from a reputable vendor.

My console shipped with 11.6.0, so I didn't turn on internet til I ntrboot'd it with an R4i Gold Plus 3DS/DS RTS flashcart (internal switch, quickest way to install CFW). I lucked out to have the flashcart because last year I had purchased it for a DS Lite I was given.

I'd previously CFW'd an OG 3DS still on firmware 4.4.0 with the soundhax method for boot9strap, which was easy enough. The flashcart ntrboot method was a bit easier, and much faster.

Or even faster updated usb 3.1 version i just saw https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MU8TZRV/

The smaller flash drives seem to be just microSD card housings and so top out well under 100 MB/s write speed, a bit slow for copying 1440p/4K 60fps content.

Also went with a 128GB Samsung Evo Select SD card, much better write speeds than the Samsung Evo+ in the $99 immersive preorder promo.

u/dchoo · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I personally use the Samsung EVO 128GB (bought off Amazon at that link) and don't have any complaints. If you download a lot / all of your games, then you may potentially want to consider bumping up a size (I'm not close to filling the 128GB after a year of having it).

u/PhantomReaver · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP is cheap for now, part of their black friday deal from my understanding. 128GB may be smallish if you plan to game a lot on it; may want to wait on a 256GB sale for around $40 but who know when that'll be.

u/bruce_wayne23 · 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitchDeals

The claim that the switch only supports UHS-1 cards does not mean it wont work. You need at least a minimum of a U1 and U3 cards such as the Samsung WILL work. The U basically is just speed and won't matter on the Switch.

So the for people that prefer Samsung storage they can also get the same size 128gb for $19.99 from Samsung as well.

> 1. Do you find that the video it shoots is mostly acceptable without adjusting things like color, temperature, contrast, sharpness, and white balance? If not, how and why?

For most people it should be fine. There are 3 picture settings you can adjust in the camera, Contrast, Sharpness & Saturation. If you are not going to color correct the video afterwards you should adjust these settings until you think the video looks good. The reason I adjust my picture settings to [-1] for all 3 of them, is to get the video flat with low contrast so that I can adjust them more accurately inside my video edit program. If you adjust the color settings while out in the sun with glare on your phone screen, it can be difficult to get the contrast and stuff right. If you have it too high, you lose pixel detail in your shadows (they turn black). By having the contrast low, you have more leeway before the colors "go off the scale" and gets clipped off either towards black in the shadows or towards white in the clouds if you are shooting in the sun's direction. It's similar to the reason I, and any amateur to pro photographers take pictures in RAW format, then edit in Lightroom.

> 2. Does it avoid obstacles when auto-returning to base? In other words, if I am on the other side of some trees and almost out of battery, will it bee-line back to base and hit the trees or go over them?

It has a setting you can have on or off to avoid obstacles during "return to home". You can also adjust the altitude it goes up to before starting to return home. Mine is set at 30m (90ft) and haven't had any problems with trees.

> 3. Is there a recovery feature in case it goes down when it is far from me? GPS/map? A beep for finding it via sound?

Yes I've had to use that feature a couple of times. In the DJIgo4 app there's a feature "Find my drone". It opens up a map, you turn on your phone's GPS and can see the last known position of your drone on the map. You also see yourself as an arrow and just keep walking in the direction of the line that connects you to your drone until you find it. It's accurate to a couple of feet, In that same "find my drone" window there's a button you can press to activate the flashing lights and beeping sound. It also gives you the GPS coordinates of your drone. The DJIgo4 app didn't work for me when I don't have cell signal, so I had to search for the coordinates on Google Maps where I have downloaded offline maps. You can also download offline maps for the DJIgo4 app.

> 4. What resolution is the final footage of that "asteroid" spherical pano animation feature?

I've only used it once. It's a 1920x1080 MP4. 1080p Full HD.

> 5. Is there a video format option that is less compressed than MP4, or is that the only option?

There's 2 formats to choose from. MP4 and MOV. Choice of 2 codecs (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC) Not sure if you can use both codecs with both file types, it might be MP4=H264 and MOV=MPEG-4
There's no noticeable difference in compression.
This comment in the DJI Forum sums it up nicely.

>"Think of MOV/MP4 as just a container for your video content. The containers are almost identical, they use the same lossy compression standards so the video content will be the same. However, the MOV container was designed for use in an Apple environment. For example, on a Apple Mac you can easily convert a MOV file to MP4 without having to change the video encoding. If you try and do this in Windows it can be complex. MP4 is more universal in that its supported by many operating systems and media players.
In real world terms, it depends on what platform you are editing your content. If its an Apple ecosystem go with MOV. Anything else use MP4."

> 6. One of the tutorials explains the "Cinelike D" mode as making it possible to enable future color grading more easily. Was that explained inaccurately or not? If not, what is the reason color grading is more easily attained using that mode?

Cinelike D is what I use because I color grade. In video editing there are things called 'scopes'. They are like the histogram found in cameras and photoshop software. It's a more technical way of looking at the colors in a video. It has a scale from 0 to 1024. If your contrast and saturation settings in the drone is set too high, some parts of the video will have too bright or too dark colors that fall outside 0-1024. A color with a "brightness value" of 1030, gets clipped at 1024. So any detail that was in there gets lost and you have bright white colored clouds. What Cinelike D does, and most of the other "flat" profiles like D-LOG, is that the colors get compressed towards the middle of this 0-1024 scale. Let's say your maximum brightness on the scale is around 800, if you move your drone towards the sun, the video will get brighter around some clouds and around the sun. If your brightness was already maxed out near 1024, then after getting the sun in your shot it is definitely going to overexpose the clouds. But because you had Cinelike D on, you have some room to work with. When you make it darker in editing you will bring out all the detail, If they were overexposed, you would just make a big area of white darker, into flat gray looking clouds.

> 7. How many times can you use a battery before you start to see a significant degradation of capacity?

I don't know. My batteries show they have been charged 34 times since March 2018, and I haven't seen any less flight time.

> 8. I'm reading that I need a "Class 10" micro SD card. Is that true? (I plan to shoot 4K/30 or 1080/60)

Yes. I have a Samsung 128GB 100MB/s (U3) MicroSD EVO Select Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME128GA/AM)
^(Up to 100MB/s & 90MB/s read & write speeds respectively; Class 10 UHS 3)
^(High-performance for 4K UHD video recording, high resolution pictures, mobile gaming and music, for use in Smartphones, Drones, Android Tablets, Tablet PCs, Action Cameras, DSLRs)

> 9. Should I get a 128GB or larger? Or should I get multiple 64GB cards?

I've never filled up my card. I just like having the extra space if/when I use my drone on travels and I'm not close to a computer. I would get a 128GB rather than 2 x 64GB. Just because the hassle of flying your drone back to you to change the SD card, when you had the drone in position to get a nice shot but only have 50MB of space left.

> 10. Is the refurbished model on the DJI website worth it? Can you think of any reasons not to get that one?

lol. I'm the wrong person to ask about buying refurbished products. I don't do it anymore. I've had too much bad luck buying refurbished. For me the little discount you get isn't worth it. Some of the refurbished stuff I bought didn't last long before the problem that caused it to need repairs came back.

> 11. Is there anything you wish was different or that you think could be improved? Any deal-killers that might shift me towards a different model or maker?

Nothing that I can think of that's bad. It's a great drone. The compact size is a good selling point for me.

I have an idea for a retro pie project for a Head2Head gaming rig for my kids. I'd like some input to help ease the pain of my shopping for parts, or for the mod itself. It came about because of their love to play the Star Wars Battleship game.

I have, or have already purchased:

  • Double Sided Case
  • Raspberry Pi 3b
  • 3.5mm splitter (4 way)
  • 3.5mm speaker
  • 2x SNES type controllers *USB)

    Still need to get/consider:

  • 128GB for Retro Pie image/roms Looking at this card
  • 2x 10.1 displays Looking at this display
  • Have yet to decide on Arcade joystick/buttons and controller for the use with the Pi. I'm open to suggestions.
  • Want to be able to use the arcade controls for the MAME games, but USB SNES controllers for anything else. The looms need to be able to do head2head and not just side to side. I'm not adverse to making them myself.
  • HDMI splitter will allow display image to be mirrored on both screens
  • Want P1 toggle for power to the system and only one side of the case. Want P2 toggle to provide power to the second display. I would love it to provide power to the entire second side of the case, but will accept only the display. P2 side will have no power toggles.
  • I expect that I'll need a slim/travel power strip installed in the case to provide power to the displays to hide their power supplies.
  • Segment space inside the center part of the case to support "tucking in" the main power supply cord so it doesn't get dragged when carrying the case around.
  • Smoked plexiglass to cover the display sides of the case.
  • Materials and hardware to make a small platform to mount the arcade controls on each side, and create a small removable lid with access to storage space next to the buttons.

This is obviously not an overnight project, nor everything needed. I'll be documenting as much of it along the way; up until completion. I want to make a video of the progress for my kids to go back and watch when all is said and done, but am also going to make a "movie trailer" version of the video for them to highlight the project's documentation.

Thank in advance, and please let me know if I need to delete this post from here and place it somewhere else that would provide any gainful advice.

    Thanks y'all.

I swapped from IOS over to Android (64Gb) last year, got a great deal on a 128Gb card from Amazon for like $35, and life's pretty sweet since.

u/D34DL1N3R · 2 pointsr/PlaystationClassic

I use a cable exactly like that one and am having (mostly) zero issues so I don't think it's the cable itself. I am a firm believer that even via OTG any given flash stick or (micro) SD card is still hit or miss. I have four different microSD cards and several different adapters & I said "(mostly)" because my 4, 16, and 128 GB cards all work with every adapter.... but my 200GB card does not work with ANY of the adapters, at all. It just boots to stock despite the fact there's nothing wrong with that specific card.

All in all, I'd chalk the slowdown to either 1.) not enough power from whatever power source you are using, 2). a bad/corrupted/incompatible microSD card, 3.) a bad microSD reader/adapter, 4.) corrupt game files, or 5.) any combination of 1-4. I very much doubt it's the cable, but as I said... I think regardless of OTG the entire thing is STILL very finicky and picky. OTG does not equate guaranteed compatibility & I think too many people are under the assumption that it does - then are surprised when their stick or card doesn't work.

I would recommend not cheaping out too. Some of the micro sds are "too slow" to work with sentry mode/dash cam recording. I bought this Samsung 128gb SD card since it was "cheap". Half of the recordings would showed up as 0kb while the rest were fine. Couldn't find a reason why this was happening. However, I read that you need a high read/write or else it might not work. Took an old SSD and reformat it to TeslaCam. Now, it works perfectly without any lost in videos.

I personally decided to go all digital with the switch and it's been nice, but I can't sell back games I don't want anymore so that sucks. Regardless if you go all digital or buy physical games, a MicroSD is very helpful.

$45 MicroSD card, sold by Samsung through Amazon. The odds of this card being "fake" are slim enough that I'd wager real money. Sandisk sells the same thing for the same price.

Definitely beware of $20 128GB cards, but $40 could be achievable, especially during a sale.

I can't remember where I read it, but there is no USB2 bus (since there are no usb2 ports) so the sd card won't be limited by usb2 speeds.

I bought https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZWYVP?aaxitk=vKXAuJwhgY46NFuUy.PLVg which should be fast enough to run a linux distro directly. Haven't gotten around to setting it up personally. There isn't great support for the CBPro among the common distros yet.

Pencil = worth.
Glass = not worth. Took me 3 applications to get one I thought was worthwhile. The screen is just so gd big. easy to get a bubble. Still no idea where the bubbles came from on my 3rd application. Looks like a tiny splotch of oil under the screen, but ill be damned if i didn't clean the heck out of it. Can't imagine it's diong anything to protect my screen and it collects a bunch of oil. Also, expensive. Definitely buy a 2 pack.

edit:

also, the 11 inch case might be a bit small. I have an evecase that is 12 inchs or a bit more and it fits perfectly.

2nd edit:

Can you install crouton on the SD card? I thought it had to go to main memory. I could be wrong though. Been a minute since I went the crouton route. Setting up a dual boot isn't very complicated.

Also I thought you needed bigger that 32gb to back up the NAND? Doesn’t it recommend 64gb when backing up? I could be wrong.

CFW is not that big, so it should fit on it I believe. You’ll have to install via USB with Goldleaf.

But really man, just get $10 - $20 dollars and buy a decent size card. A quick search produced these results.

If your computer has a tiny slot, then you can put a microSD card in there. You can get a card like this for around $20 at Best Buy and other tech stores. You can move your files into the microSD as opposed to on your main drive, saving space.

If your computer has a larger slot about the size of your thumb, you can get an SD card. Some microSD cards have SD card adapters, which you can tell by the packaging. If you use Amazon, this $20 128 gigabyte card from Samsung and this $10 64 gigabyte card from Silicon Power would both do the trick. If none such a port exists, I recommend this $18 128 gigabyte flash drive from SanDisk.

Also, if you could tell me the model number (usually located on the back of the computer labeled under "model", or in Control Panel along with RAM), then I'd be able to help you more.

Here's a good Micro SD card option, 128GB $45. The 256GB is insane at the moment but that will change.

Hint, peek under the kickstand for that micro sd card slot. 🙂

I'm using a 128GB Samsung Fit, which is pretty low profile. It doesn't stick out as far as a wireless mouse dongle.

The only reason i'm using it over an SD card is that it's 128GB, and the largest SD card I have is 16GB.

I could pick up a similarly sized SD card for about $50 (which is about half the cost of the machine I'd be putting it into, lol) if it would perform better. I wasn't sure that there would be much performance difference on this hardware and I already had the stick, so that's what I planned to go with.

Reporting in with my experience. Not sure why other people have issues with the samsung cards. So YMMV. I have this one:
https://smile.amazon.com/Samsung-MicroSD-Adapter-MB-ME128GA-AM/dp/B06XWZWYVP
And was able to run it on my Yi4K+ @ 4K 30fps using the bitrate mod to record @ 150mbps for around 45 minutes straight breaking it up with 4GB files. It has not failed me yet (knock on wood) and I've recorded at least 20 Volleyball games ranging between 2.7K30 @ 100MBs and 4K30 @150mbps with an average length of 45 minutes. I record using an external battery attached to keep the heat down. I've ordered those U3/A1 sandisks and they work fine (4K30 and 2.7K60) but max size 64GB. I am sometimes worried about the fakes floating around on Amazon for Sandisks. Last sandisk U3/A2 I ordered, the card and packaging had different A ratings. Card had A2 but packaging had A1. The card speed was slower than my older Sandisk cards using a benchmark app. I read somewhere that the Green Samsung sd cards are sold by Amazon only and that they are the same as the red version. So I tried it out and it worked for me. Maybe this will help with your decision.

Samsung evo select is an sd card that samsung made to sell exclusively on Amazon. It's sold directly by Amazon so no worries about fakes. It's a really fast card (which the Switch probably won't need), but if you ever need an SD card later on, this will still be useful in the future. They're priced really well. I just got one and it works great.

Edit: oh damn. Looks like it's sold out, but you can get it from the Warehouse for cheaper.

What else is there to say other than it just worked? Seems to work great with the Switch. I paid $40 which is pretty good. The SanDisk one is also supposed to be pretty good and it's on sale as well:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073JYC4XM/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B073JYC4XM&pd_rd_wg=McSxg&pd_rd_r=ADV7GPX471ZECMDXKH5K&pd_rd_w=V9zfJ

I would personally go with one of those two.

Size is subjective. I got 128GB to be on the larger size. Wasn't a huge jump in price and figured with the way I'm going to use Switch I will most likely need it. So rather than buy another later on I just spent the extra to get the big one.

u/ThomasChristo · 2 pointsr/Coachella

Also my first Coachella with my Hero 6!

I'm outfitting my Hero 6 with a 128GB Samsung MicroSD card.

For power, I'm bringing in two precharged spare batteries for a total of 3 batteries.

For my grip, I'm bringing in the handler as my grip. I thought about the Karma grip but it's kinda expensive and won't last the whole day in the fest; I also don't know how I would store it. What's important here is that you can't bring a grip that extends like a selfie-stick, those are banned from the grounds. If you have a hard time, kindly explain to the security guard that the grip doesn't extend and is fixed at 6-inches. I had a friend go to W1 last year with a Karma grip and she just explained that it didn't extend so she was good.

Since I'm bringing in a CamelBak, I wanted somewhere to place the GoPro when it's not on the grip and without having to worry about pickpocketers. I tried out several backpack clips like this one or this one but I essentially decided that I wanted to make sure it would quick-release to the grip for easy transitions. The clip that did have that feature broke pretty quickly so I'm going to try out this one and give it a shot with some velcro. It seems pretty sturdy. To get the camera fully upright, you're going to need a j-hook mount or a raised mount like the one included in the official mount set.

The alternative to any backpack solution is just unclip the GoPro into a fanny pack or a front pocket for safe keeping and store the grip into a backpack.

Technically correct. However there are a number of U3 cards that are 100 MByte/sec, most popularly this one:

My point was less about the rating, and more that 18 MBytes/sec isn't really a "decent" speed.

Yes. Here's a quick guide with pictures showing how you can do this using the built on App Manager or how to do it using the Micro SD as internal storage.

You're probably going to want to get a fast Micro SD card. They aren't expensive now. Like I just got this 128 GB one for my wife for just $20 USD off Amazon.

That said, there's the same risk of data loss with the Micro SD getting damaged as with your phone getting damage. So if you're worried about it, back up the data.

Thank you for including "smile" in your Amazon link. For anyone that sees this that are unaware of Amazon's Smile program, replacing "www" with "smile" on an Amazon link before ordering anything from them will cause them to donate a portion of the order to the charity of your choice at no extra cost to you. https://smile.amazon.com/

The two linked micro SD cards linked by the parent post are a little bit more expensive than I would have liked for an SD card, so I went with a different U3 speed class card which claims to do 90MB/s write speed for about half price.

I ordered https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP?th=1 128 GB Samsung EVO micro SD card for $44.99 and even though I'm not a Prime member, was able to get it with free same day shipping. Can confirm! Thank you for posting this. I was a couple months past the 30 day return window on Amazon. In case anyone else is dealing with the same issue, reach out to them anyways! They offered to send me a replacement card with no hassles, as well as a return shipping label.

This is the Samsung EVO Select card I purchased, and my order said "Sold by: Amazon.com Services, Inc" on the invoice. Very surprising to get a counterfeit from Amazon.

I should have checked earlier - I honestly wasn't aware this was a thing. After inspecting it, all the signs are there - the side of the card has black edges (not white), the read/write speed hovers around 15 MB/s, and H2testw says that only 28.3 GB is okay - so like others have pointed out, it's a 32 GB counterfeit card posing as a 128 GB Samsung.

So Mbp/s to MB/S is 8 to 1, meaning that 150 mbps footage needs a sustained write speed of 18.75 MB/S. 400 Mbp/s needs a sustained write speed of 50 MB/S.

The cheapest cards I have found and used constantly for recording on the GH5 are:

150 Mbp/s

Samsung Evo select 128gb card

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

400 Mbp/s

Sony 128GB UHS-II

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D8H0D8A/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The 400 Mbp/s footage can tax normal computers though and isn't the best fit for a compact file or a quick turn around on a lower powered computer. 150 Mbp/s is a pretty high bitrate for 24 and 30 fps footage for social media or youtube uses where the bitrate being displayed is only 10-56 Mbp/s.

As for vlog footage it's use is for color grading, if you don't know your way around color grading and don't want to spend the time futzing with it every time you go to edit then I wouldn't bother buying it. HLG profile is one that gives a nice wide dynamic range with brilliant colors and requires essentially no tweaking in the edit so it's a nice alternative if you aren't interested in grading a whole lot. Cinelike D and V as well as REC709 are all semi-professional choices that don't require as much touch up as vlog footage to make it look decent. If color grading or multi cam matching is your aim then vlog footage can be a better place to start.

If you are shooting commercial, short or long film, or television work you might find that 150 Mbp/s is limiting and even 400 isn't enough for you, which is where shooting on an Atomos comes in. Outputting over HDMI to one of those you can capture in ProRes at bitrates up to 5-600 MB/S depending on the speed of the drive, resolution, frame rate and settings you select. While higher bitrate is in fact higher quality footage you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between ultra high and quite low when it's uploaded to IG or YT, not to mention that shooting at lower qualities saves a lot of space and can be easier for a more run of the mill computer to handle...

So I just procured a new 3DS XL off Craigslist and plan on hacking it soon, hoping to have a sort of all-in-one Nintendo handheld unit. And from what I'm understanding, using a flashcart for NDS games is the way to go. My question is, for someone who plans on going about using this method of hacking: https://3ds.hacks.guide/seedminer what flashcart would work better for me? The pinned guide recommends this one: https://www.nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=157 but a lot of google results are saying this is the way to go: https://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=575

Also, about what size microSD should I shoot for as far as the DS flashcart? Is it possible to have the entire library on a cart? For the 3DS, I plan on going with this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP?pf_rd_p=019ad97c-f176-43be-96b9-991a6dc65763&pf_rd_r=PY2FDNMY18YBX665K4B6

And one last thing, found out when I got home that the home button isn't working, however I can just press Power and then close/open it to get to the home menu when I need to, right? It doesn't seem like it'll fuck anything up, but wanted to check if anyone else had any bad experiences with that.

Whats important with SD cards is the write speed. /u/guitarinjustin mentions the 400Mbit/s being 50MB/s. (/u/sonicbuster) 8 bits makes a Byte, so those values are equivalent but converted. Most cards advertise read speed only because read speeds are always faster on SD cards and more attractive to advertise, so do your research to make sure you know the write speed before buying. If you want to future proof for the 400MBit/s update, your card should have a write speed of 50Mbps or more. Cards will be more expensive though. Keep in mind cards slow down if you don't format them every time you transfer files in and out so maybe don't just buy the bare minimum write speed.

the 3ds requires you to have the sd card formatted to FAT32, it will not take exFAT. So depending on how the switch formats the card you might not be able to take the switch sd card to the 3ds but likely the other way around should work.

I would recommend just getting a new SD card as they are pretty cheap 64gb for $23 or 128gb for $40 200gb+ will start around $80 and go up from there.

I assume something like this would be fine? Or maybe it's what I think is its counter part here?

u/ToxicMufffin · 1 pointr/Dashcam

I've been using this SanDisk 128GB card for the last year or so without any issues. My sister got me this Samsung 128GB card for Christmas last year as a backup card, and every time I try and use it I have nothing but problems. The camera (650S-2CH) continuously exclaims, "Check SD card," every five seconds after the first video tries to save.

I've been looking to upgrade to a 256GB card because since I drive 100+ miles per day and can only capture about a weeks' worth of footage. Is this the Samsung card you're talking about? I just don't want to get the wrong one.

A 256GB works just fine. I haven't had any notable problems or issues. I haven't tried a 400GB yet, but technically there shouldn't be any issues.

I will say this, don't buy cheap cards. You get what you pay for. I would check your local electronics store for sales or buy through a reputable retailer online. A good price for a quality 128GB micro sd is around $35 - $45.

I have used both of these cards and have had no issues:

I got one of these. Super fast if you transfer from a USB 3.0 reader. 2.0 isn't bad either if it's all you have. If you keep an eye out, they'll have used ones available for $5-$8 cheaper. I think the portable storage is best for me since it's 32 gb phone and less potential to lose data. Sandisk and Samsung seem best, and I want to get U3 so I can use the card for years on future phones.

I'm having trouble determining Samsung Evo vs Samsung Pro

pro
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZBM4N?ref=emc_b_5_t

The pro must be better in some way for the 64 gb to be more expensive than 128 gb evo, but will it actually impact the performance much? I'll be using it most for basic files - spotify, netflix, pictures, phone video, maybe other video.

Pro claims to be better for 4k video but I'm not too concerned about that.

u/illithidbane · 1 pointr/GalaxyNote8

Agreed. I save $160 / phone by using Best Buy instead of Verizon. If that costs me preorder items, oh well. I can get an SD Card for $45 right now, and I can just skip the wireless charging and plug the thing in. The cold hard cash is more important. And I might still get the bonus items anyway.

u/BigBoyLaroux · 1 pointr/lgv30

I just bought a top speed class (U3), 128 GB Micro SDXC card on Amazon for $45. It can hold over 2 shifts worth of HD video or 6 hours of 4k video. It's not some crappy Chinese brand either, it's a Samsung Evo which is one of the best cards available in both speed and reliability. Could you imagine how cheap they would be at a volume discount of 1,000 units (800 officers plus a ton of extras available for immediate replacements?

Storage isn't the problem at all. Hell, I have a 64 GB Micro SD card in "security" camera we use for my son's birthday monitor and that's no where near as important as a police body camera.

Edit: As far as battery life with sound, there are body cameras that will record for 12+ hours.. That camera is $600 to buy outright or Taser will give them to the departments for free for a year to get along with the software and support to use and implement them.

I have a Viofo Compact A119 V2 which is front cam only. I use this in my work truck with it powered by the cigarette lighter socket. Turns on and off with the truck. Does everything I need it to do and the video quality is great. I bought the CPL filter for it as well, to lessen the interior reflection. The dashcam’s $96 I think, filter was like $10. Highly recommend. Easy to self install as well, which I did.

My personal car I have a Street Guardian SG9663DCPRO. This is a front and rear cam. This is pricier, it was about $280, and I bought the hardwire kit for it as well which was another $30. The front cam model is very similar to the A119 V2, they’re practically the same except for a few extra ports on this model. Installation is a bit more involved on this one, but there are YouTube vids you can watch that make it easy. Also depends on your car. FYI the cables are pretty thick, except for the external GPS cord. I was still able to hide them all, but again this depends on the vehicle you’d be installing it in. Video quality is great on this as well, crystal clear picture and readability. This model comes with a lot of extra items and whatnot, where the Viofo is very basic and just the essentials. I highly recommend the SG as well.

For both cams I have the highest possible card it can take, which is 128gb for the Viofo and 400gb for the Street Guardian. You can get these pretty cheap on Amazon, they go on sale very often.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, I’ll answer to the best of my knowledge.

PSV games are anywhere between 0.5-3GiB in size, so 20 games would take at most 60GiB. PSP games are usually 0.1-1.5GiB in size. 64GB sd card is 59.6GiB in size, so it's really cutting it for your requirements. You might be better off with a 128GB card.

Btw, sd cards dropped in price by a lot in the last 7 months, 128GB card used to cost 40USD a year ago (and 80USD a year before that), but now they are just 20USD. I have had good experience with these Samsung 64/128/256GB cards and this 400GB SanDisk card. Make sure the sd cards you get are not fake sd cards, check these two videos.

So the conclusion is Nintendo says it only supports upto UHS1, so that means more than that it won't get the benefit of more speed so it'll be useless to buy anything higher than UHS1 just to use for switch.

512 GB is total overkill.

Atari 2600 cartridges maxed out at 16 K

SNES and Genesis cartridges maxed out at 512 K

Nintendo 64 cartridges maxed out at 64 MB

Gameboy cartridges maxed out at 4 MB

Gameboy Color cartridges maxed out at 8 MB

Game Boy Advance cartridges maxed out at 256 MB

At this point, you can store every game ever made of the console above in less than 20 GB

I just noticed the write speed is 90, though (or that's what it says).

I'm not understanding why this is such an amazing deal. Isn't this just an overpriced "switch" branded UHS Speed Class U3 Speed Class 10 Micro SD card that can be bought every day without the "Switch" branding for $19-$20 Example

I use these [micro sd cards] (http://amzn.to/2p3iBh4) with an sd adapter when I shoot 4k video. They have never failed me and are cheap. One good thing is you can pull the card out of your camera and put the micro sd in your phone. that allows you to edit your video when out on location and even upload out in the field.
