You should look up satechi leds, they are rgb if you ever need to change color scheme.

Edit: here

Here's some lights for you: Satechi RGB LED Light Strip with Remote Control for Computer ( ST-CLEDLS ) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAX8YPY/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_XhcIwbGXGV04Z

GPU is currently set to white at the moment, just was set to cycle in the pictures, rookie mistake :'(

A hue+ would be amazing, but it's so damn expensive, feelsbadman. Thinking of picking this up but I don't know if it'll make it look too cheap, decisions decisions. >_<

Satechi Computer RGB LED Light Strip with Remote Control https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QAX8YPY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_awy-AbP8GVT7Q

I used these in my build: https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Remote-Control-Computer-ST-CLEDLS/dp/B00QAX8YPY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478972944&sr=8-1&keywords=led+strip+satechi

They look nice, but my remote was glitchy and didnt select the right color that it said i was selecting, but it still worked fine

This is what i used for my set up. I've had the strips in for awhile now and no excess heat/fire problems.

Oh, and news flash, almost everything if not everything in your rig will be made in China.

Grab some LEDs

sure!

LEDs: https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Remote-Control-Computer-ST-CLEDLS/dp/B00QAX8YPY

The AF140's came with red, white, and blue rings that are interchangeable. I accidentally bought AF120's first (didn't realize my radiator used 140mm fans) and they also came with the same color rings.

This one looks good, I suppose. I don't really like case LEDs for aesthetic reasons, but if you do this kit is RGB and comes with a remote to change the color/strobe effects.

I use these and they work great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00QAX8YPY/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1459252271&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=computer+led
You can pretty much change the color to whatever you want and has multiple cycling modes.
Here are some pictures of it in my build: http://imgur.com/a/R9Ead

Here ya go. Easy to install.

The LED kit that is inside the PC case is this combo from Amazon. It is powered off of a 12V molex pin from the PSU. There are plenty of cheaper versions out there. If you know a little bit about circuits and soldering it's pretty easy to put together your own customized LED kit.

The laser cutting is totally fascinating to me! I'm lucky enough to have access to a laser at work. You design your image file on the computer and send it to the laser just like you would your printer. After focusing the beam and adjusting your speed/power settings for the material, the laser goes back and forth making passes and filling in the design. Here's a video of someone else engraving their image. In addition to the plexiglass it also can make awesome designs in wood, glass, metal and almost anything else you can think of.

I just got one of these. A lot nicer than I expected.

Maybe something [like this] ( https://www.amazon.com/Satechi-Remote-Control-Computer-ST-CLEDLS/dp/B00QAX8YPY) may work, decent reviews

Nice!

I ended up just using something like this for my old case and then one of these the second time around. Your project is cooler, but these are just plug-and-go in case anyone wants an easy way to just throw some lights in.

I also have a 12v adapter hooked up in my bathroom so that I could run a strip around the edge of the ceiling. RGB showertime.

If all you want is the ability to change static colors there are cheaper options. a quick amazon search found this. Definitely not as good as a hue or hue+ but if you're on a tight budget it'll get the job done.

And get OS from /r/microsoftsoftwareswap or for free somehow...

Cannot think of any other way of getting you all these colors without hurting the builds performance.I believe it came out nicely.

This is what I went with

You can check my post history for how it looks in the case.

I use RGB Led strips in my cases. I like them because you can choose any color, and turn them off while your computer is on. I went away from case fans because they were usually one color and you cant turn them off if your computer is on. Both the links come with a remote to control them. They have a tiny IR sensor. If you have a phone with an IR blaster you can control them with an app. They do shut off when you power off your computer. They run on 12 volts, so you can plug them into a spare molex connector. The first link is a better quality RGB set that comes with a molex adapter. They have adjustable brightness. The second link is a cheaper Chinese version. You cannot adjust brightness but you can change the color. Here is a pic of my case with RGB lights

RGB Link. Adhesive has been great on these, no problems in ~6 months of use.
