Then you can spend the extra $5 and buy on Amazon

u/smudger510 · 3 pointsr/buildapcforme

I bought Sceptre 165Hz Monitor and just paid the shipping as it came in under £200 which was also my budget at the time. This is by far the best decision I’ve made as it beats anything you can buy over here in terms of price for performance.

u/4THOT · 2 pointsr/buildapc

My personal monitor is a 160$ 165mhz monitor at 1080p. I enjoy it quite a bit.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KGMQGDT/

You can get cheaper ones but the cheaper you go the worse in quality they tend to be, they have bad ghosting, bad colors, etc.

u/rsreddit9 · 2 pointsr/FortniteCompetitive

Idk. I see one right below it on Amazon that’s 1ms and 165...

Honestly can’t tell you anything about sceptre monitors. I have a monoprice one that I got for $250 (actually got $50 back for something too) 27 inch 1440p 144 that’s awesome

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07KGMQGDT/ref=sspa_mb_hqp_detail_mobile_aax_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Only thing I’d ask is isn’t there supposed to be HDMI 3? These seem to have 2.0 only

Edit looks like that’s fake news and hdmi 2 is all the same thing. Should be good :)

u/Devotoare · 2 pointsr/PcMasterRaceBuilds

I would switch to an nVME hard drive (Intel 660p or Sabrennt Rocket).

For a replacement card check this one from MSI.

Also for $50 more you can get a monitor that's far and away better (from Sceptre and also from Acer). You're spending a lot of money to push the frames so you might as well enjoy them. Even if you have to cut to a 512gb model of one of the hard drives it's worth it I think.

u/captainfatbottom · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

I've seen some reviews that Sceptre's 24.5" 1080p (E255b-1658A) 165hz has much better color accuracy with similar price tag. Can anyone chime in and let me know which of the two is better, if either has an advantage over the other? It's $165 as well.

Sceptre E255B-1658A 24.5 inches with 165hz and Freesync. Currently $164.99

Sceptre C275B-144R 27 inches curved with 144hz and Freesync. Currently $179.99

I don't own either of these but these fit your specifications. I do plan on buying the first one mentioned as a birthday gift sometime soon as well

Edit: Also forgot this one Sceptre C248B-144RN 24 inches curved with 144hz and Freesync. Currently $154.99

u/OUmSKILLS · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

I bought the ~$160 25" Sceptre 165Hz monitor that's been floating around the sub a couple times. I've had it for about 2 weeks and other than the small viewing angles ( I'm used to a VA panel ) I'm very impressed with what I got for only $155.

Edit: Looks like it's out of stock until August

Your blowing $300 on a monitor get this insteadhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KGMQGDT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

This way you can put more money into a better gpu and cpu btw get rid of thermal paste comes pre applied

u/YeahILikeAlmondMilk · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

This monitor is 165hz , 1 ms response, and 1080p. The only issue for you would be that it’s 24.5 instead of 27 but I prefer 24 or 25 inches for 1080p. Some people have received theirs with dead pixels but mines arrived in perfect condition.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07KGMQGDT#Ask. This monitor is TN, but is perfect fine. 165hz, 1ms response time, 24.5" panel, its a great option for so cheap. In fact, I own a sceptre monitor and it's great. Amazing viewing angles, 93% sRGB and no backlight bleed. I suggest this all day.

u/calltopower1 · 1 pointr/Monitors

Just picked this up the other day and it's been fantastic.

u/miningstone2002 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I recommend this monitor. it may not be at VA panel, but it actually lives up to it's sub 1ms response time and it's 165hz

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07KGMQGDT/ref=psdcmw_1292115011_t3_B07GD7H18F

u/twiction · 1 pointr/Monitors

you're right, it does have a low response time for a VA though! I actually found an even better deal imo https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KGMQGDT/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 ; not the exact thing as my title but its 165hz vesa mountable, super thin bezel, and tn.

I'm confused as hell so can someone tell me whether I can use 144 hz using this monitor and this GPU. I'm currently building a pc with these and I hadn't thought about compatibility between these.

I tried connecting the monitor to a different computer and it worked fine, using a different monitor on this pc did not work :/

u/lanspread · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

hmm I'm not entirely worried about ultra high framerates, at least at this stage i guess (if that makes me a rube then so be it). ill keep it in mind in the future though. not pushing my components to their limit should improve life expectancy as well, right? Fuck it you're right, I'll get this instead

Also, I was wondering about OS. I'll stick with windows for now, I know Linux is free but learning how to deal with that is a project for another time. I should get home 64 bit right?

u/polostanky · 1 pointr/buildapc

Buy this monitor before the deal goes out gaming monitor

My apologies on the late reply.

 1. Check out PCGamingRace’s Glorious Mouse and GMMK Keyboard Lineup. They have great deals on high quality gear. If you don’t want to spend $100+ on a mechanical keyboard, check out the G.Skill KM360. It has Cherry MX Red switches and is only $49.99. Then, pick up a Glorious Model O mouse for another $49.99 and you have a great keyboard and mouse setup.

 2. The follow are some great bang-for-the-buck 144hz 1ms monitors...

I'm just using a normal HDMI cable.
Windows says I'm running at 165hz.
I'm getting around 250-300fps.
There is a very noticable difference in the fps between borderless and windowed.

u/ericjayy · 1 pointr/buildapc

My budget is ~$1000 for the tower, and I will be getting this monitor. I do have access to micro center where I will be buying the 2700x and b450f motherboard for a discounted price. I will be using the build for gaming, streaming, video editing and general multitasking which is why I went for the 2700x with more cores over the gaming popular 3600 for a balance of video editing and gaming.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

This is one of the cheapest ones you can get. I use it and it's really good. Just make sure to use a displayport cable and not HDMI. https://www.amazon.com/Sceptre-E255B-1658A-Gaming-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B07KGMQGDT

I am curious about that curved one (fyi it's this one in case anyone's looking) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GD7H18F/

considering 2 for dualies, but strictly for productivity. anyone used dual curved for productivity?

if not a good idea, then i am considering these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KGMQGDT/

I’m just saying the Sceptre 24.5” 1ms/165hz DP/HDMI off Amazon has been fucking amazing...and it’s cheap.

I was skeptical about the price vs. quality before my purchase but I haven’t been disappointed. I’m about to buy a second one. It’s $165 right now. They also have a curved version.
