Reddit mentions of Sears and Zemansky's University Physics (10th Edition)

You aren't going to find a sub to teach you physics. If you are interested in learning buy a textbook. You can usually find a good freshman physics textbook for under $10 on amazon if you just get a used copy that's a few editions old. I'd suggest Young & Friedman as I've TA'd from it and it seemed better than Halliday/Resnick that was used in my intro classes back in the day. Maybe there's a MOOC that teaches intro physics, though I'm not aware of any.

You don't learn physics by picking up bits and pieces totally out of order from youtube videos of interesting phenomena. You need a well-developed framework. You need to understand the math behind it. Watching the cell phone flip demo doesn't give you a good understanding of moments of inertia. Again, demonstrations and cool effects are fun, but you don't get good at physics by seeing lots of these things. (Granted demonstrations are very good when they are relevant to stuff you are learning).

If you want an actual textbook, I'd recommend the most recent edition of this book. Past editions might have chapters moved around or slightly different problems, but the physics is all there.

But I think you should give the Smart Physics stuff a chance. You're probably just reading the reviews of some salty students who were horrible at physics.
