Here's everything for equipment, so hopefully this answers any questions:

If you like Sennheiser then the 660S are pretty good. Only 150ohms so they are much easier to drive. (compared to other 600 series that are 250ohm)
660S

I would still recommend getting a dac/amp because that will usually make a difference over a direct plug to the motherboard. Something cheap like the FX Audio Dac X6 would be a good starting point.

The Beyerdynamic DT1990 get very good reviews for open sound stage:
DT1990

These are all around the $500 mark and will be a huge improvement over your old ones. These are also open back.

Im sure others can list some other options.

Your integrated audio has one of the best consumer-grade dac 's available and is bi-amped. You have nothing to gain unless you need a replacement for specific line interference or connectivity issues.

I'm just going to throw out a few very high quality headphones to give you an idea of what you're looking at in the "budget free", great for both music and gaming "last headset i'll ever need" category:

Oppo Pm3

HD660S

ATH-WS1100iS

Fidelio X2HR

Now, if all of that seems expensive, then you need to come to a decision on an actual budget, and remember that the goal is to land on a headset that should last a lifetime.

As for the mic, there are plenty of options including desktop microphones, modular microphones that attach to the headphones, and lavaliers that are more than affordable, work very well, and are easy to use.

Monolith M1060, K712, HD660s (Secondhand), DT1990 (secondhand) come to mind. I'm leaning towards the M1060 as top recommendation taking all that into account, but the build might seem "cheap" to you, I'll link them so you can see.

If you want something to sound really good, it's not going to be in a headset.

This is 50% over your budget but I recommend you try out the Sennheiser HD 660S.

I own the HD 6XX (identical to the 660S but with less sub-bass) and I can confidently say it matches your taste. It can effortlessly reproduce sub-bass so deep, you feel like the world is shaking. It has very fast transient response which means it sounds like the difference between listening in front of a live band, and listening to a live band with a thick curtain between you and them. It has a very small sound stage which means that it sounds like the live band is playing directly next to your ear.

This all sums into a very intimate and clear sound. Pair it up with a mod mic and you have yourself a headset that can be used on console and PC/mobile.

It's Amazon, if you don't like it, you can always return it.

Oh, and did I mention that the only thing I've personally heard that sounds subjective better than my HD 6XX is a pair of $12,000 electrostatic far-field speakers?
