It has already been stated, but always make sure you're buying from a reputable seller. Some of those Amazon sellers could be selling fakes, and fake makeup can be very dangerous. Just always know what you're getting into!

I'd be interested to know what else she has on her wishlist because I honestly would not pay that much for either of those Sephora collections. Yes, you're getting a lot, but Sephora products can be very hit or miss. I bought this when it was on sale for $20 (originally $35 I believe) and I would not have paid any more than that. It's great for playing around with some color but I wasn't impressed overall with pigmentation and such. I don't regret buying it but I would not have paid full price for it necessarily and I can tell you that those Amazon prices are not what you would've originally paid in store. Depending on what she has on her list, I would lead more towards other brands. It also kind of depends on the state of her collection and where it's lacking. However, if you're looking for something that will give you a bit more bang for your buck, check out Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, even Sleek. Coastal Scents and BH have some larger eyeshadow palettes for a decent price, kind of like the Sephora stuff you were looking at, and Sleek has some great standard-sized eyeshadow palettes. Those are some great options for giving her a bit more variety. Otherwise I'd be happy to give some suggestions for mid-end range palettes.

As for the brushes, first know that you don't need to replace your brushes often unless they're just falling apart. Many people have brushes that last them for years. Again, it kind of depends on what's in her collection. Coastal Scents and BH both have decent complete sets that will last you a while, but she may not need all those brushes. If you're unsure and would still like to go for a set, Real Techniques has two sets I'd recommend: their Core Collection and their Starter Set. CC is for face, SS is for eyes, and both of these together would run you about the same as that Coastal Scents set you linked. Not all the same brushes but these RT ones are so worth the money and are durable, and if you happen to get one that has issues, their customer service is usually great about sending replacements. Sigma and MAC are also great, and these are the brushes I'm talking about that people can keep for years, though they do get up there in price. I personally don't own from either of these brands yet but you can definitely find suggestions here or around the sub.

Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Product Name: Sephora Holiday 2013 Color Anthology
Your approximate skin tone, and eye color: Very fair, with neutral-warm undertone; blue/green eyes (heterochromia, blue with yellow ring)
Link to picture of palette and/or swatches (can be yours, or one you find online): there's a whopping 70 shades so I couldn't swatch all of them but here's a picture- http://www.amazon.com/Sephora-Anthology-Holiday-Limited-eyeshadow/dp/B00GNFS4T0
Eye shadow colors (all taupey-neutrals, bright neons, etc): EVERY SINGLE ONE IMAGINABLE
Finish of the shadows (matte, shimmer, sparkle, etc.): huge variety of finishes as well, some are even pearly/iridescent
Where can we get it? It was limited edition (if the name was a giveaway but you can still find it on amazon and ebay- Sephora will probably have a similar palette this year too.
Things you love about it: When I got it I didn't have a whole lot of eyeshadows, and now I have just about every shade I'll ever need! they're also surprisingly pigmented, especially with primer.
Things you could see others potentially not loving: Sephora brand eyeshadows seem to have kind of a bad reputation but I think these are pretty good quality. It also didn't come with a brush, which I didn't mind but others might. ALSO now that it's harder to find and therefore more expensive it's honestly not nearly as good of a deal as it was at the time... so I'd recommend waiting for the next one tbh.
