My mother in law bought me a Windpro umbrella before I went to study abroad in England, and it held up pretty well to the English rain and wind! I think mine is this one. The vent thing sounds like a gimmick, but I guess it worked! I've also seen a lot of nicer umbrellas at Nordstrom Rack so you could check there for a discounted one
I'm lame and just have this in black. Goes with everything, for one, plus the auto open-close amuses me every time.
