Hi all! I'm about to order a refurb D7100 body from Adorama and am having trouble picking my first lens. I've read a few posts on here about the topic, but I'm still not sure what's best for me.
I'm mostly interested in photographing the night sky and northern lights (I will be getting a good tripod too), but I also want to to be able to do general photography like landscapes and travel. My budget is about $200ish so I was looking at a 35mm f/1.8G or one of these two Sigmas: here and here - I'm not actually sure what the difference between them is, unless they are different listings for the same lens.
Will any of these lenses be a good start for both night and general photography? Suggestions on an eventual second lens? I think I want to get the Tokina 11-16mm one day but that might be a while. I'm also interested in getting a macro lens at some point.
I should hopefully be able to get another lens in the next few months after more time to save. I can also get some birthday money to put towards one. I'm not quite sure what that budget will be yet.
Thanks in advance for your help!
