I have seen them before, but they're getting harder to find. StarTech makes one for both SATA and IDE, here's a quick link
And here's a cheaper one
Humm I see, you are carrying a laptop with you? Or is it a tower? If it is a laptop I would say order four 1tb SSD drives like I linked and get one of these for instance and use it to read your SSDs. Even if you are not backing up while traveling I still regardless of what you do, recommend a back up back at home base.
You can get something like this. Or just search for ide to sata or usb.
SISUN ® 2.5"/3.5" IDE SATA HDD Docking Station +Card Reader Hub (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009F7TXMK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_bMhPAbGNBPNM6
If you insist, "You're an idiot."
You have a laptop or desktop?
If a laptop, get an adapter or dock from Amazon for like $20-30.
If desktop, either get an adapter or dock. Or save $$, open the case and plug the old drive into an unused slot.
But based on your response you'll find better luck with an adapter or dock.
Something like this

There are both pcie and usb adapters.
Pcie: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000YAX13Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1517524513&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=pcie+ide+controller&dpPl=1&dpID=31L4r%2BLGqxL&ref=plSrch

Neat little device. I'm trying to figure out if this is really a sale or not. 25 bucks seems to be the standard price for these types of things if you look at This but that model is only usb 2.0
The only comparable models for USB 3.0 seem to be in the $45 range also here. I've only done a cursory search.
The competitor products also look like what would happen if Asus ROG STRIX made a toaster so maybe this is the best bang for buck.
Hey something like this Amazon Toaster PATA
I don't believe so - since its showing up as black instead of blue I don't think that drive actually initialized. Since you're dealing with data that is important to you - totally go with the USB toaster! Less risk!
Something like this should work. If you just google "external drive enclosure" or "external HDD dock" you should find plenty of options.
The catch is the drive on the left is an old ass IDE drive. So you specifically need a dock / enclosure that will support that. The one I linked supports IDE - but doesn't seem to have glowing reviews. Might be fine for a 1 time thing. Also Amazon will take a return no questions asked (ULPT!)
