Without looking at the brand, I would've thought this was a Skagen. They make several watches that look very similar. Here's one I just found on Amazon for $65. Decent quality too. I'm sure if you look through more of their stuff you can find other similar models.

Something like this?

From another watch thread, not my find

Yeah, it's tasteless probably, but what can I say? It looks like a combo of this one with the markings and this one with the secondary dial (chronometer?). That second one would be perfect if it didn't have numbering on it. It just looks tacky to me, i guess.

I bought this Skagen a few months ago, and I love it. Can't beat the price.

I recently got this Skagen and I love it. I have a small wrist so I strongly prefer a thin watch. At only 6mm thick, this watch looks really streamlined.

Amazon fluctuates prices like crazy though, so while it's currently $75, it's generally around $64 and has been as low as $52 according to camelcamelcamel.

I really like this super-thin Skagen watch, as well as this Bulova, though the strap is black, not brown.

EDIT: I guess links with prices and info might be useful -

Got a few things I'm getting rid of:

Shoes

  1. ($50) Nike Air Royal Mid QS - Size 10 - very good condition.
Wore them a few times, but took care of them. Cleaned them up as best I could. The left tongue has a bit of wear for some reason. Comes with Burgundy/Grey laces. No box though. Not sure about how these run, but I think sizing down a half size might be good.

  2. ($30) Nike Air Royal Mid VT - Size 10.5 - Black (in case it isn't apparent) - good condition.
Biggest issue here is that the left toe box creased awkwardly. Aside from that, they are in very good condition. The leather used on these scratches sorta easy (if you run your nail on it or something, it will leave a mark, though I think they go away, more or less). Laces are waxy. sizing is the same as the previous ones.

  3. ($20) Nike Sweet Classic Leather - 10.5 - good condition.
Also wore these a few times, and they got indigo on them, but I managed to remove most of it. The leather is this weird cracked kind of leather (now that i think about it, it might be waxed suede or something). Fit TTS.

    Tops

  4. ($20) INC Wool Military Jacket - Size S - Black - NWOT
Nothing much to say about it, 17" shoulders, 20.5 p2p.

    Other

  5. ($45 $35) Skagen Slim Brown Leather Strap Watch - good condition - PRICE DROP
Worn about 6 times; however, you'll notice the band is a little dirty...it's nubucky/suede-y and i don't have a suede eraser. Also, I scratched the back of the case a tiny bit trying to open the battery casing (lowered the price cuz of this)pics

Prices are CONUS, Shipped. Shipping will be Priority Mail w/ Delivery Confirmation unless requested otherwise (there are cheaper options, but potentially less reliable). Payment would be through PayPal. Feel free to request more pics.

I have very small wrists (maybe even a bit smaller than 2.5 inches wide) so I'm going to give some advice here based solely on my own searching for smaller-sized watches in a market dominated by watches 40mm and up.

I think your advice of 35mm w/ 18mm strap is a good start, but certainly is not set in stone. Unless you get into a vintage watch, I doubt you will find any men's watch that is less than 34mm (I'm thinking of this Skagen that I own.) So making your cutoff 35mm is going to severely limit your choices. Going up by a few mm is not going to really be all that perceptible. I wear this watch that is 36mm and looks just fine. By the way, the size on Amazon says 41.29mm because they are quoting the size with the crown, but when people talk about watch size they are normally referring to the size without the crown. Amazon is maddeningly inconsistent and often flat-out wrong in the measurements that they list for their watches.

Another thing to realize is that there are other factors besides physical size that determine how a watch will look on your wrist. A watch with a large bezel and smaller dial will appear smaller than a watch with the opposite. White dials appear larger than dark dials. If you wore the Skagen I mentioned before and then switched to this Timex, they would probably appear to be around the same size despite a few mm difference in physical size.

As for strap size - aside from vintage watches, I know of only 2 mens watches that are have straps thinner than 18mm: this Timex, and the watches that Brooks Brothers sells at their outlet stores. So while you won't really find anything below 18mm, it's pretty trivial to go up to 20mm, maybe even 22mm. When you get to 24mm I think you will start to notice that the band looks a little thick for your wrist. But at that point, you'd probably have a watch that is over 40mm anyway.

This is pretty standard pricing for skagen watches on amazon. They're still great though, I have this one and I love how thin it fits on my wrist: http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-433LSL1-Brown-Leather-Watch/dp/B00024CDD6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1395614774&sr=8-2&keywords=skagen+watches

Not sure if these are the kind you're really looking for (and I don't know much at all about watches), but they're similar to Bauhaus style:

Skagen (34mm), $55: http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-Unisex-39LSLBB-Quartz-Movement/dp/B009A2SE9I

Fossil (35mm), $30: http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail.asp?bo_products_variance_id=188301

Casio (37.5mm), $10:http://www.amazon.com/Casio-MQ24-7E-Classic-Analog-Watch/dp/B00065FWR0/ref=sr_1_29?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1337575040&sr=1-29

EYKI (??mm), $11: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2UD10C0203

Skagen (36mm), $60: http://www.amazon.com/Skagen-433LSL1-Brown-Leather-Watch/dp/B00024CDD6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395453636&sr=8-1&keywords=skagen+433LSL1

Boccia (various), $85+: http://teno.com/Boccia-Titanium/Boccia-Watches-Men

I spent some time looking for minimalist, Bauhaus style watches for a while, and these are the only ones I've found for under $50 (except the Boccia). You might have better luck searching than I did.

It's not exactly the same, but this Skagen has a similar style, simple face with a funky case shape. My boss's boss has one, and I think it's sharp. These are very thin watches. This brown one is fun.

u/orangefrisbee · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

I got this three months ago and so far I love it.

u/swiftjusticed · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

This is what I have . I'm hardly a fashion genius but I think it looks good and is pretty cheap/simple.
