/u/yptgot - if you want a full frame telephoto, you might want to consider the Sony 28-135mm f/4 power zoom for your A7s II ([£1999 in the UK] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-SELP28135G-Mount-Frame-28-135mm/dp/B00NVA7ARW/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=hybrcamerevo-21), [$3080 AUD in Oz] (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/705-53470-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5575034783&toolid=10001&campid=5337235943&customid=&icep_item=352051350748&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229515&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg), [$3299.95 CAD in Canada] (https://www.amazon.ca/Sony-SELP28135G-E-Mount-Lens-Black/dp/B00NGTN0Y0//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=hybrcamerevo-20), [$2498 USD in the US] (https://www.amazon.com/Sony-28-135mm-Full-frame-mount-Power/dp/B00NGTN0Y0//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=battleforthew-20), [€2.199 in the EU] (https://www.amazon.de/Sony-SELP28135G-Vollformat-G-Objektiv-Vollformat-geeignet/dp/B00NVA7ARW//ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ll1&tag=hybrcamerev02-21)).
Here is the image quality this camera/lens combination can produce at 4K:
Here it is at 1080p:
This amazing lens is a little bulky, but it is pretty much made for Sony full frame cameras.
Hope this is helpful and good luck with finding the right full frame telephoto for your needs!
Hi /u/spryes - I don't know that you can find a cheap full frame lens in that range, but Sony just announced a [$2498 28-135mm f4 full frame power zoom] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NGTN0Y0/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00NGTN0Y0&linkCode=as2&tag=battleforthew-20) at IBC in Amsterdam this week.
If you don't need a power zoom and can settle for covering something less than the entire 25-100mm zoom range, you can get a [28-70 f3.5-5.6 for $498] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GTXHQ8Q/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00GTXHQ8Q&linkCode=as2&tag=battleforthew-20).
Hope this is helpful and good luck with your new A7s!
Bill
If budget is not an issue, and you intend to use the camera primarily for video, you should consider getting the new [28-135 f4 full frame power zoom] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NGTN0Y0/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00NGTN0Y0&linkCode=as2&tag=battleforthew-20) when it becomes available.
This will be a very nice constant aperture all purpose lens for video shooters.
If you don't want to wait for the December release of the power zoom, you might want to consider a full frame [Sony 24-70 constant f4] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FSB79FU/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00FSB79FU&linkCode=as2&tag=battleforthew-20) to get started. This is a high quality full frame lens and will give you results like these in just about any lighting condition:

If you "don't know much about lenses", you might want to get started with Sony native lenses and not mess around with Sony A mount or Canon EF mount adapters. Once you have some experience shooting with native lenses, you'll feel more comfortable exploring other mount options.
For more information, there's a nice A7s lens guide over at Abel Cine: http://blog.abelcine.com/2014/10/23/lenses-accessories-for-the-sony-a7s/
Good luck!
Right, makes sense. What do you think about the Sony 28-135? https://www.amazon.com/Sony-28-135mm-Full-frame-mount-Power/dp/B00NGTN0Y0
