Check out the Soundfreaq Sound Kick; it's a portable Bluetooth speaker like the others that you mentioned and you can pick one up on Amazon for $92 right now. It always gets great reviews, so I picked one up last year. The sound quality is very good and it gets decently loud for a small room, but not anywhere near as loud as the one from Bose.

I have this one. For the money, it sounds great.
Yeah, I have something called a Soundfreaq which I'm quite fond of for the price.
It's no Focal speaker or something but it's very good for the price. Passive radiators (Like a subwoofer without a magnet) work great in things like this. You can actually feel the bass in your chest when you're listening to music in the shower.
I have these they sound fantastic and have great battery life.
I am looking to buy a portable speaker for listening in the kitchen, around the house, maybe outside, etc. and, while I know these will not be the best sound quality, I was wondering if anyone had any experience with, or could recommend, any of the following:
JBL Flip Portable Speaker
Soundfreaq SFQ-04 Sound Kick Bluetooth speaker
Jabra Solemate
Or if you know of something better. let me know! It doesn't have to be portable, but it does need to be able to connect to a Samsung Galaxy S4, and I would prefer a somewhat small system. I'm not looking to spend more than $150, $200 at the most. I'm definitely a newbie, and I am not very familiar with good products out there.
Some bands I listen to that indicate the type of music I would be playing: Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Devotchka, Bombay Bicycle Club, Vampire Weekend, Future Islands, Baths, The Shins, Washed Out, Beach House, Philip Glass, as well as some classical music.
Any help is appreciated!
