Combo headsets typically have worse mics then stand-alones. So that choice is up to you. That being said, I do a combo Steelseries headset. (I think the version that came out right before this one: http://www.amazon.ca/SteelSeries-7H-Gaming-Headset-Black/dp/B0038W0OHQ) and it is amazing on skype.
It is important to remember not to speak too closely to the mic either, and the less you handle it, the better.
That being said, the one I linked you (I know you can't get that one specifically, but the specs are right) will take care of your needs for a very long time.
I don't know your budget, so hopefully this headset isn't crazy out of your range. I can find something else cheaper that is close if it is.
Budget - $50-$100
Source - Gaming computer
Requirement for Isolation - Would prefer closed, but not most important
Preferred Headphone Type - On-ear, with microphone included (Mic isn't most important, as I can use my current one's mic)
Preferred Tonal Balance - Balanced
Past Headphones - Currently using a pair of Steelseries 7h
Preferred Music - Classic rock + gaming sounds/music
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I really enjoyed my current pair, but the right ear cup broke so they are no longer usable, and past warranty date.
I've always heard great things about Sennheiser but I have to be honest, I don't know what to recommend,
If I had the money, I would probably go for the Steelseries 7H but its way out of my price range personally.
EDIT: Did some research on Sennheiser headsets for gaming and found this thread.
My headset of choice is the Steelseries 7h, which is 13 pounds outside your budget:

Belly's link for the GameCom 780 is inside your budget and should probably do you some good, here's a slightly more expensive duplicate that comes with some kind of free game download:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-GameCom-Gaming-Headset-Download/dp/B008BZOK3Y/ref=sr_1_19?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1371498293&sr=1-19&keywords=PC+headsets#productDetails
The Platronics 380 appears to be the 780's little brother, and is less than thirty pounds:

but personally the 780 looks worth the extra cash to me.
Please AVOID the Creative HS800, I owned one and was unsatisfied with the build quality:

(^ don't buy this one.)
