and for the small stuff
I use a few different things to house my goods. I have two small, three and five-drawered plastic stackers like these that I have on a shelf in my bathroom. Stuff I cycle through often tends to go in there, like primers and mascara. I also have a small three-drawer canvas cart that looks similar to this one where I throw larger items like palettes/blushes/whoknowswhatelse. Then on my desk (where I tend to do my make up) I have a small basket that everything I use daily gets thrown into if I need to use my desk for school. I have my brushes in a small round brush organizer and eyeliners/lipliners/brow brushes tend to go in there as well.
And then in my bedroom and strewn about my house are random Ipsy bags and Glossybox boxes with make up that I keep meaning to try but ultimately forget about.
I use this for right now.

Top drawer for accessories (blaster effects, symbiote attachments, etc)
2nd for only weapons (guns. Lots of guns, swords, etc)
3rd for heads, hands and head accessories (ex: starlord headphones or jubilee sunglasses, etc)
Until I need bigger for more accessories I get.
For storing beads still in bags, and smaller finished projects I use something like: https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-ClearView-Storage-Drawer-Organizer/dp/B001KN12PI/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1519230842&sr=8-5&keywords=plastic+storage+drawers
For actual loose beads, i still use the large plastic trays you get in the sets. I find them pretty useful and rearranged them so they're easier to work with, which took a little while, but now they're nice palettes.
I am assuming you probably can't paint, so these are really awesome. You can also get them at www.walldecorplusmore.com. I use them and they are freaking awesome. They have so many different colors and they come off and go on easily. I haven't had any problems at all with them!
In my bathroom, I have two storage containers that work for me and sit on the counter, stacked on top of each other. There is one like this, not sure about the size on that one, but small enough to fit on your counter and have hair things, make up, toothpaste, etc, in it. Then on top of that, I have a smaller one similar to this on top.
Also, 3M hooks are your best friend! I have one for my keys by my door. One in my shower for my loofa. One on the side of my nightstand for a small hanging flashlight and my sleeping mask thing. You can seriously use these everywhere! It saves a lot of space.
How exciting, I am sure you will figure out what works for you!
Just to add to warwatch who had most of what was on my list:
Some of this depends on how much cooking you are planning to do, but it's all pretty essential in my experience.
I like to use the cheap [plastic drawers] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KN12PI/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bFi63_c_x_2_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-2&pf_rd_r=0EQZNCBM8AMG5D8D9E89&pf_rd_r=0EQZNCBM8AMG5D8D9E89&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=9daeb83e-0797-4d08-8490-b0bffcce1d03&pf_rd_p=9daeb83e-0797-4d08-8490-b0bffcce1d03&pf_rd_i=3744431) that you can find pretty much anywhere. They're not real classy looking but they're super functional and come in lots of different sizes for storing different materials. Craft stores also carry storage solutions that work well for organizing small things like beads and hooks.
I'd like to say that my materials are sorted by both type and color, but that would be a lie. They are really just sorted by type.
Here is a [short video tour] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBVuJ7sTcMk) of a pretty reputable fly shop owner's bench. I've found this style of setup to be both comfortable and productive.
We use a small 3 tier drawer container (like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001KN12PI/ref=pd_aw_sims_5?pi=SL500_SS115&simLd=1) I keep them grouped by size. We have an AAHA accreditation this month and keeping them covered and clean and out of the way.
I like this system though we also use old IV lines as ties so we store them there too and we can easily grab the container and have everything you need! We also back stock the XL sizes (I had to order a horse tube for my dane once lol)
Yeah I do DIY and just filled a big tacklebox.. I would totally get a 3 tier tacklebox but the flavors won't sit upright like you said. I'm sure it's not a big deal but I'm a bit anal about it. I still don't know what to get next.. I'm thinking of some kind of plastic 3-drawer storage type of thing like this - but I would prefer it to be black and lightproof.
I use a Sterilize drawer until too but not so huge. Unless you have a full boy scouts troop with you, I think it will get crazy to find anything in there.
I use a table top one which I place on the picnic table.
I reserve one drawer for basics like lighter, matches, Ziploc bags, spices, etc.
Inside the other one I put the utensils and in the third one I position my cooking tools.

As for the camping kitchen, here's some good reviews photos of a Coleman brand. It will give you an idea of the way you can use it so you can determine if you want it.

I personally have a big see through plastic tote where I carry my whole camping kitchen.
I have a collapsible sink with a drain which I use to wash them (or carry to a washing station depending of where we are at) and then I leave everything to air dry in there.
In the same plastic tote I place my drawer unit and some kitchen towels, a grilling mitt and a vinyl tablecloth with some holding hooks.
Bear in mind that I can't fit very long cooking tools in the drawer unit but I just use some short ones and the things that are longer like my stainless skewers, still fit in the big tote.
I just use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-17918004-ClearView-3-Drawer-Organizer/dp/B001KN12PI/ref=sr_1_2?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1332389719&sr=1-2
I use these Sterilite ClearView Drawers to hold mine, with similar labels as what you have
