Hey all!

Some of you have been asking me about a paperback version of Sufficiently Advanced Magic for a while, and it's finally available! You've still got a bit of time to grab it if you want to participate in Reading Resident Authors for the month.

For those of you waiting for audio, that's still at least a couple months off. I'm looking at early July. It's in production now.

Never heard of it? Sufficiently Advanced Magic is a JRPG-inspired magical academy novel. The book has a mix of time at the academy and some time spent on dungeon crawling in the local monster-infested tower. It's very heavy on magic rules, so be forewarned that you may want to skip it if you're not into that kind of style.

Here's a synopsis:

Five years ago, Corin Cadence’s brother entered the Serpent Spire — a colossal tower with ever-shifting rooms, traps, and monsters. Those who survive the spire’s trials return home with an attunement: a mark granting the bearer magical powers. According to legend, those few who reach the top of the tower will be granted a boon by the spire’s goddess.

He never returned.

Now, it’s Corin’s turn. He’s headed to the top floor, on a mission to meet the goddess.

The book can be found here.

Just a heads up, in case you weren't aware, the book is available as a physical copy. I am in the same boat as you and for some reason assumed it was digital only. Also agree that I wouldn't feel right getting it for free.
