No problem. There appears to be a slightly newer, "improved" version here for $34. Or you can get the same version I have, here for $26.

Either way, basically the same radio, may as well just go with the cheaper of the two. Both are the same unit internally; but if things like a multi color backlight for the screen are important, the $34 dollar one is better.

With either, you'll also need a headphone adapter plug, 2.5mm to 3.5mm, here for around $5.

Hey there, my guy. Okay so here's the thing. I was literally just trying to solve the same problem and contacted a friend of mine who has a T5 and managed to film a documentary with crisp clear vocal audio. I asked her how she achieved this since the T5 doesn't have an external 3.5mm microphone port.

She told me that she had a shotgun mic which she attached to her camera using the following adapter: Link

I bought a shotgun mic, got the adapter and was excited to use it, but for some reason, whenever I attach the small 2.5mm plug into the camera and switch it on, it takes a picture as if triggered by a remote and the microphone picks up no sound, leaving the internal mic at work. I was talking to her about it tonight and she sent me a few videos showing that her Canon doesn't do that and the mic actually works for her. So I'm not sure if I have a defective Canon...? But you could try this idea for yourself. If it worked for her, I'm sure it has to work for others.

Cheers. (Also if anyone knows why my Canon is taking pictures, please lmk)
