> Wow, Argentina actually got a punch in? My impression had always been that they had opened up a whole can of British whip-ass that they had underestimated.
I just listened to this book on audible last month: https://www.amazon.com/Battle-Falklands-Max-Hastings/dp/0393301982/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1512075486&sr=8-1&keywords=falklands+war+max+hastings
The Argentinians didn't underestimate British fighting ability, they didn't think the British would fight in the first place.
Also, Argentina has a problem of it's bombs not exploding. They had to release them super low in order to avoid the British anti-air systems but didn't know how to fuse them properly.
If they did it would have been a total disaster for the British as numerous ships were hit repeatedly by Argentinian bombs that did not detonate.
Anyways, it was a great listen to on audible. Never got dull and I highly recommend it.
