Hmmmmmmm looks cool...if you like that, check this game out...it might be something you like!

Sure, at its heart it is a storytelling game. Each player gets an equal amount of coins. The game starts by one player challenging another player to make up a story with a leading question, the more fantastic the better. For instance, "makrartur, could you tell me again how you single-handedly transported a pride of lions up the amazon river?". Then you would have to tell the story. People can then pay coins to interject, usually with some detail (i.e. "but markartur, lions are not indigenous to South America, however did you get them across the Atlantic?"). After everyone tells a story, all of the players "vote" with their coins on the best story. There are some other rules but that is basically it. Works well in a car since all you need to pass around are the coins, which could be anything really.

I would recommend reading this review to get a better idea about the game.

You can also buy it on Amazon for under $20.

BESM: it can get seriously goofy with some of the splats, it's under the d20 system and is relatively easy to find. Big caveat is you and your players need to like anime in order to really get anything out of it.

If you want people to get into roleplay then I wholeheartedly suggest The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen or Everyone is John.

The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen |Amazon| sounds awesome. I'm gonna have to pick a copy of this up. Anyone played it?

I just purchased an indie game called The Extraordinary Adventures of Baron Munchausen. The purchase is due, almost entirely, to SUSD's podcast review coupled with Wil Wheaton's mention in Not the Flog. I hold both Wheaton and SUSD's opinions in high regard, and they had nothing but good to say of the game. I can assure you I'd never have purchased it otherwise.

That said, we played a round of it at a restaurant tonight, and had a good time. I don't know if I'd consider it a "game", except in the loosest sense of the word, but fun it certainly is - provided you and your friends are keen on that kind creative, storytelling fun.
