Since the Christmas episode is coming up, I thought I would give you guys a heads up on something you all as Grimm fans might want to get for Christmas. We all understand the whole "Brothers Grimm" inspiration for this show. Well, more often than not, people are familiar with the stories published in the 1857 edition of the Brothers Grimm tales - which had the stories cleaned up for children, added in Christian morality, and so on. But, the first editions of the first and second volumes (published in 1812 and 1815) are the closest to their original verbal form and haven't been cleaned up. So, for those interested in the inspiration for some of the stuff on the show, check out, for the first time ever, an English translation of The Original Folk and Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm: The Complete First Edition.
There was a lot of talk here when the first English translation of the first German edition was published two months ago. That is apparently the most "scary" German edition, that even most Germans are not familiar with. It's this one:

In addition to the great recommendations others have already made, here are a few suggestions that may be of interest:
Orkney Folk Tales - The Orkney Islands north of Scotland have an interesting mix of Nordic and Scottish cultures (mostly Nordic), and their folklore is unique and fascinating as well. I read this on a recent trip to Orkney and enjoyed it - some of the stories bear a little resemblance to classic fairy tales you might recognize, while others are completely unique.
The Water of Kane: And Other Legends of the Hawaiian Islands - I haven't actually read this yet, but it was the best-looking of the Hawaiian mythology books I found on a previous trip. The Hawaiian mythology is definitely non-western and really unique!
The Original Folk and Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm: The Complete First Edition - I know you've already got The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales, but the first editions of most of these stories were quite different (and often much darker). With that in mind, this may be worth a look as well!
Scottish Fairy Belief: A History - This one may be a bit of a stretch since it's intended more as an academic resource (vs. a collection of stories), but it includes a ton of really fascinating information on perceptions of fairies in Scottish culture and mythology (many of which are very different from how we currently tend to think of fairies).
The Andrew Lang collections of fairy tales are an obvious start-point, as is the original Grimm.
For trolls!
What you're reading in that PDF is the 1857 version. If you go through Amazon's "Look Inside" you can actually read good intro snippets of the 1812/1815/1857 versions of this tale. The 1857 was
renamedagain named "The frog king, or Iron Henry" like the 1812 version on your link.Amazon link
(Make sure you login though so you can see more of the previews. They are on page xxxvii-xxxviii)
EDIT: Must have been too tired when I made this comment :) Thanks /u/dauthie for pointing it out. I got confused partially because it was late, partially because the titles flipped back between editions: The 1812 edition is called "The Frog King, or Iron Henry", the 1815 edition is called "The Frog Prince", the 1857 is again called "The Frog King, or Iron Henry".
Night Film was fantastic.
I'm on the waiting list to borrow "House on Haunting Hill" from my library.
I'm finishing up "Carrion Comfort"..it's a hell of a read!
As for gifts, my vote is:

The Brothers Grimm were pretty dark.
Great post! Jack Zipes has a new version of the original Grimm's out now too.
I haven't picked up a copy of my own yet but just a heads up that the first edition is very different from the later editions. It is more like a transcription of actual folktales while the later editions, although they include more stories, are more heavily edited by the Grimm Brothers.
Here's the version I have my eye on:
