> Now your just being pedantic

No, I'm not. Claiming that the idea of a hybrid tyrannosaur/raptor/cuttlefish dinosaur, which, as the trailer claims, is their "first hybrid dinosaur" is the same thing as a creature that has a little foreign DNA in it due to gaps in the recovered DNA is not pedantic, it's a big fucking difference.

You're (BTW, did you notice that apostrophe'd "re"? That's how you spell "You're".) claiming, by extension, that every single dinosaur in Jurassic Park, The Lost World, and Jurassic Park 3 are all intentionally modified dinosaurs in the same manner.

You simply don't understand the science behind it. I've read both Jurassic Park and The Lost World multiple times each, and I've also read both Raptor Red and "The Science of Jurassic Park and the Lost World: Or, How to Build a Dinosaur", a book that goes into great detail about the cloning procedures and the errors and facts of both the movies and books. I'd warrant that I have a greater grasp of this than you.

> The genetics being purposely changed or not is irrelevant.

It's entirely relevant! The team at Jurassic World set out specifically to create a "super dinosaur"! That was never done in Jurassic Park or Lost World.

> It still leads to a result of a unnatural ability and feature to the creature.

Again, the intention is the important thing, and I'd posit that it wasn't even something the dino gained through cloning.

The way the predator hunts and acts is a natural ability. I've actually read The Lost World about 4 times. The Carnotaurus hunts by naturally adapting its camouflage to its surroundings. Its hunting patterns reflect its natural adaptations - it hunts at night. It avoids light. It stalks prey, slowly moving into position, using the cover of its camouflage to close the distance.

The Velociraptors, on the other hand, are chaotic animals that don't even function as a pack. The explanation given is that without parents (due to a disease that kills them off young), they don't learn how to form cohesive groups and hunt together.

So now you have two contrasting displays - two Carnotaurus that naturally use their abilities instinctively and efficiently, and groups of raptors that haven't learned how to adapt as they grow.

That really throws out the idea that the Carnotaurus was genetically modified - the skills and hunting patterns were natural and instinctual and came with its resurrection by Ingen.
