Reddit mentions of Time of the Twins (Legends)

Given the books you've listed and the fact that you're posting in /r/fantasy then I would like to recommend one of my favorite, (scratch that) my all time favorite, fantasy series - The Dragonlance Chronicles Trilogy.

That up there ^ is the first book of the trilogy. It's a classic and is simply amazing. After you finish that trilogy give the second trilogy a shot - Legends Trilogy.

Ever read any dragonlance? Eg "Time of the Twins" ? I might be remembering through rose colored glasses though since I read them in Jr High-Highschool (After I had read the other major titles such as LOTR & Asimov's foundation series; I was a fairly prolific reader). Weiss and Hickmanns work is a bit whimsical and childish at times, but makes for enjoyable fantasy. Plus there's a ton of it. Don't pickup random dragonlance books though, a lot of them are fairly terrible; however, Hickmann & Weiss typically shoot out good or medium quality work consistently. Though I found dragons of summer flame to be a bit worse than their other titles.

Some people like Terry Brooks shannara stuff, but I didn't particularly care for it.

eta: also with regards to dragonlance if memory serves there's 7 preludes, the first three chronicles and then the three legends books; so time of the twins is many books deep. However the legends series was overall of better quality than the others so I recommend it.
