Feel free to check my sources. I'm not a historian, I just communicate the information I've been made aware of.
Well over a decade ago I got several references to The Prisoner in music that I listened to and books I read. The repertoire of the Yugoslavian/Italian band Devil Doll is full of Prisoner references (especially The Girl Who Was... Death and then when I read Collin Cleary's essay "Son of man, can these bones come to life?" in Tyr Journal volume one I found it time to watch the series. I did, a few times, since, I even watched the remake and visited Portmeirion.
Anyway, Cleary has a few more articles online about The Prisoner on Counter Currents (just 'Google' "the prisoner colin cleary.
The series remain getting attention and deservedly. I believe I heard that there is a film in the making of it. I do not know if I am glad about that though...
