I recently started using the Unicharm Uruuru sponge cottons. They have a spongy texture and I love gimmicky things so I caved. But they're actually really good! I like them because they're quite large, and they're really easy to make diy or toner masks out of. I was worried that the sponge texture would absorb too much product, but I feel like everything I put on the cotton actually ends up on my skin. I bought some more traditional five layer cottons at the same time but honestly, I reach for the Uruuru more often than not. They come in boxes of 40 but you can split them in half and get 80 uses out of each cotton.

You really only need to use half the amount of toner/serum or less. And they work great to do your own cotton serum facemask. They're like a thin spongey feel.
