I can charge my pixel 3XL rapidly with this combo I purchased on Amazon. It's only around $5 cheaper than the original charger that can be purchased from the Google store.

I was just looking into this last night. This is the one I ended up deciding on. I like that the prongs fold and that you can remove the USB cable for easy storage. I should be receiving it next week.

This charger, linked above, is $22 in the US. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071H2JGJ6

I don't know if a Macbook charger will work. It has to list/support 12V or there is no way it will work.

I'm using an Aukey 27W charger, works well for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071H2JGJ6

Thanks! I appreciate the detailed response. So it sounds like I don't really need to worry about anything, at least in terms of anything getting damaged. I already bought a few cables (all Anker, but also all USB 2.0) but will look into upgrading them down the road to 3.1g2 so I can take better advantage of the faster data and charging.

Quick follow-up question RE #4 -- I'm not an electrical expert by any stretch, but my understanding was always that when dealing with electronics that voltage was always the most important thing to match up. In other words, if you have a device that uses X volts, make sure whatever power supply you connect only supplies X volts, otherwise it can cause damage. For amperage, again my understanding was that as long as you were providing at LEAST what it needed, than that was fine since you could provide more and it wouldn't cause any issues (it can only draw what it needs and no more). Then the wattage is the product of the two, so 5V * 3000mAh = 15 watts. Even if you provided 6000mAh, it wouldn't necessarily draw that or increase the wattage. But it looks like USB-C chargers support various voltages as well, which can greatly impact power situation, which had me concerned. I ended up buying this one since it had good reviews, I got it for $14 with a coupon, and it says it support 5, 9, 12, 15 and 20V power output (and assume at least one of those is iPad compatible).

Thanks again!

27w Aukey pd 3.0 starts around 70 gram / 2.5 oz, Anker around 100 gram / 3.5 oz.

To compare Anker QC 3.0 18w wall charger suitable for Anker Powercore II 10.000 mAh (190 gram / 6.7 oz) with a full recharge time of minimum 4 hours comes in around 70 gram / 2.5 oz. with no MFI lightning cable.

No free lunch.. but potential to save 2-2.5 hours charging your powerbank everytime you are in town :)
