What monitor do you have?
edit - I don't think you'll be able to see anything in the 144hz range, since it only has a usb-c output that only supports 10 Gbit/s while displayport 1.2 that supports the 144hz range runs at 21.6 Gbit/s, the best thing you can do is get a [usb-c to diplayport cable](https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-CableCreation-Thunderbolt-Compatible-Chromebook/dp/B072ZT9RQZ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1506641523&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=usb+c+to+displayport&psc=1 but it'll only support 60hz (but still 4k)
