Reddit mentions of Van Gogh: The Life

Whatever you do, don't get drunk and watch Don McLean's "Vincent" on youtube and then follow it up by watching "Vincent and the Doctor." Not that I'd know what it'd do to someone...

• Doctor Who: Summer Falls and Other Stories This book is really awesome. It is stories written by Amy Pond (Amy Williams) and are based on some of my favorite Amy/Rory episodes. It also ties Clara and Amy - this is one of Clara's favorite books and appears in the show.
  
  
• Van Gogh: The Life I have always been a big fan of Van Gogh and find him very interesting. I would love to learn more about him and his life. I did a search of books about him trying to find the best and this book has a lot of good reviews.

I guess I would recommend this, Van Gogh had a very interesting life, especially his relationship with his brother.
