It may not seem like it but I am still very new to the whole projector world myself. I've been looking around for LED projectors too because they're so much bang for buck you know, but if you are a projector enthusiast and don't mind paying more for the projector and buying new bulbs every 3,500-7,000 hours (more or less) then you're probably better ordering a bulb based projector instead of a 'light based' LED one. The LED ones don't seem to have as many features, as deep colors, brightness, etc as some of the bulb based projectors.
LED projectors are still pretty new, the only 1080p LED projector is the LG PF1500. Everything else is 720p or worse and there's lots of competition. If you search for 'Projectors' you'll see a lot of $100 (give/take) 480p chinese projectors from 'no name' companies. Normally, you look for Optoma, Epson, Sony, LG, BenQ (big name in gaming, they make monitors), Viewsonic.
I forgot to mention the Vivitek Qumi Q6. They also have a Q5 which is less lumens I think.
