My life changed when I finally realized I wasn’t unhappy because I was fat, I was fat because I was unhappy. When we don’t know how to comfort ourselves internally we turn to external sources to help; some to drugs, some to alcohol, some to video games, and me to food. You sound like you’re in the same situation. And even when we ultimately are happy and don’t need soothing, we’ve now built a habit of eating for a dopamine high thats now unnecessary.
