From my experience most used are the 6, 8, 9, but I've handled anything from 5 to 15.

Wiha Pen would get you covered but I recommend getting another budget set as well for unique screws and double sided pivots

I recommend some lubricant (I bought some kinda pricey 85wt nano oil that's pretty thick- i use this to super lightly coat moving parts when disassembling/reassembling, and some daiwa reel oil that works really nice when you need to work a drop into a pivot without disassembling a knife), and a nice torx set, Wiha makes high quality bits, well worth it. I have two of these:

A t10 torx is pretty common to on lots of spydercos, not included in that set^>

And then a sharpening system. The spyderco sharpmaker is a great place to start. With that and a nice strop I can get a hair popping edge quite quick on s30v and similar steels. Lansky gave me pretty good results before I new what I was doing, i have since upgraded systems but use my sharpmaker and strop Much more often. Quick and easy.

As long as you're dealing with pretty corrosion resistant steels you don't need you worry much about oiling/drying and that sort of thing. Once you venture into carbon steels a bit more care is needed but not much.

Stay smooth, stay sharp!
