Hmm not sure about the Windows 8 problem but i'm guessing looking at your network/firewall settings might help...
Going oldskool with a 3.5mm audio cable connected to your pc's headphone socket and running into your TD-15's Mix In jack would be the easiest solution for playing along to Spotify for now.
Good luck!
I'm not familiar with the Tritton Warhead, however after a few Google searches I see the transmitter has a "line in" input.
What does that look like? Does it look like you could plug in a pair of 3.5mm phone headphones?
If so, to use it with your PC, you just need an auxiliary/3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, like this.
Looks like the O2 has a 3.5mm input, the E10K also has 3.5mm line out. From what I can tell a regular stereo 3.5mm cable should do the trick. Something like this; https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00077DC3S/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1466007341&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=3.5mm+to+3.5mm&dpPl=1&dpID=31SXHSAQR9L&ref=plSrch
I've got the 520k, which should be pretty similar... I just use a 3.5mm cable (both ends the same) to connect the iPhone/iPod by head headphone port. Something like this should do it:

If you want to avoid the delay caused by Virtual audio cable you can do the hardware version.
What you need:
Use the cable to bridge the LineOut and LineIn Jacks. Now just follow the instructions from /u/xephero but instead of using the Virtual LineIn use the physical one.
So in the end what your setup should look like:
Also there is a plugin for ACT that lets you choose the Audio Output device.

I had this problem too. I was tidying up my desk, took out all the wires into the computer so I could untangle and put them back cleanly. When I came to plug in the headphones, I had no sound.
Turned out I had a spare 3.5mm jack to jack cable plugged in the back of the computer, leading nowhere, and for some reason, the fact that this wire was plugged in - going nowhere, doing nothing - allowed my headphones to work.
I hope that makes sense, I'll come back to rephrase that a bit later
