I second /u/Algernon_Asimov's recommendation of George Perez's run. Few writers spend as much time on Themyscira as Perez does.

William Messner-Loebs and Mike Deodato Jr's run together, recently re-released in a single trade, spends a good deal of time on Themyscira. It mostly deals with the politics of attempting to combine the two tribes of Amazons into one.

Also, Jill Thompson's The True Amazon OGN takes place entirely on Themyscira.

In January, there is a mini-series starting titled The Odyssey of the Amazons. It will be a six-issue mini-series set before the birth of Diana.

Got some questions about Wonder Woman, and an upcoming collection

First off, I've read both re-released volumes of Rucka's WW, and both of Perez'. How many volumes of each can we expect? It was about a year between the release of the first two, and I can't find release dates for the next of them...

Second, purely by chance I have found this volume of John Byrne's WW that has just been released. I've not heard Byrne mentioned when people talk about classic runs, and I don't know when exactly it fits in. I know it is midway between Perez' and Rucka's (Perez starting with #1, Rucka starting at ~#200, and Byrne's starting at #100), and I've found this volume of Deodato's WW which is meant to come just before it, but there are conflicting reports as to whether that volume has just 5 issues, or the full 10 leading up to the Byrne volume. Are either of them worth reading, and exactly what is in the Deodato volume?

Finally, are there other collected editions of WW like this planned/released? So far, all that has been collected in this way (not omnibuses) is from Volume 2 (that I can tell), and I know Simone's run from Volume 3 is excellent, and that the run from #600 onwards is meant to be fun, but neither appear to be collected.
